Here is the synopsis:
Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father - the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership.

In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner - are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her newfound status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side . . . and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.


I love this series....i'm sooo in love with bones!

Hmmm... another series that my daughter has read, but I haven't. Starting this one now! :D

I loved her Night Prince novels! I put this one on my to read list over a year ago! Gonna see if I can find a copy!

I avoided it for a while but i don't know why. it is an awesome read i don't think you will regret it. i regret not reading it sooner! and this month i will be re reading it... not many books can you re read and still love the book , characters etc. but this one is one of my all time favourites so i always have time for it!

I'm in for this one and the next in series also.

Love this serious. I was actually reading At Grave's End. I really like Cat and Bones..

Just finished and in love with Cat and Bones!!!! So damn sexy!!

They are one of the best UF couples. Each book furthers their relationship. I was a little sad at the ending in this one but it was great for the next one.

Although I'm a week late... I'm in!

So I got this re-read and realize the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. I initially read this in 2013 shortly before I started taking off a star for cliffhangers. I hate them so they get docked. It is rare that I don't give them a star off and this really isn't a cliffhanger completely but it is in the relationship. So I would have taken a 1/2 star off because this is 1/2 way UF and the other PNR, so no HFN or HEA, 1/2 a star. But the UF is great, it is fun read. I loved the relationship.

So the other 1/2 star was that the story lost cohesiveness in the middle to end. I kind of feel it lost the plot as really the plot ends and then it goes a different direction to set up the characters for the next book. The next books do not have this cliffhanger that you have to go to the next book. If I had read this book today, I would have, maybe, quit the series as if there is a cliffy in the 1st book, I just don't go on. Still like I said, the UF plot ends nicely. So I might have said no, but it was so good that I doubt it.

This is one of my top 10 UF series.

Currently reading and enjoying. Will head straight into book 2 when done. I really like the relationship between Cat and Bones. Timmy is a great neighbor and gives much needed comic relief.

Good idea to head straight to number 2 as it has a little bit of a cliffhanger and you want to know what is going to happen.
