Ilea Haber | 1 comments I really, really liked it. I know everyone adores Fangirl and I do as well. But honestly I would rank Landline higher. For me it was more realistic to my current life, I have been married for 9 years with two little girls. So the idea of connecting to my husband through magic phone is intriguing.

Radha (radhacelis) | 8 comments I liked it, not as much as I love her other books. It was ok for me. I really liked that all the things that make Rainbow Rowell such an awesome writer were all there, Believable characters, compelling story, heartfelt situations, and humor, but for me, I wouldn't rate it as high as I rated her other books. But I definitely recommend it. :)

Rachel (Smelleykins) (smelleykins) I finished this the early hours of this morning. It's good. But not my favourite of Rainbow's. Something seemed missing and i'm unsure what. The idea was good, but i was left wondering so much afterwards.

I agree. Maybe it was because I'm not yet an adult, and I can relate more to Cath and Eleanor, but I didn't like Landline as much as the Eleanor & Park, Fangirl, and Attachments. I was really excited for this book too, simply because I love Rowell's writing. I really loved the voice that she had in the novel though, I have to admit that. I'm always reading her tweets, and I think it's so funny to see the similarity between the two. Anyway, it did certainly seem like something was missing. I definitely thought there was gonna be more of Seth, but I guess not. What happened to Seth, anyways? He admitted that he loved her and she was like, "oh well gonna go save my marriage lmao bye" and he was like, "ok i want my dressing." I WAS SO CONFUSED. LIKE, WHAT? I thought he was gonna stop her, or kiss her, or something, and ohmygosh.

Victoria (victoria_vogt) I liked it. It wasn't my favorite of hers, but I did really enjoy it. (Fangirl is my fav, if you're wondering! :)

As someone who is married, I really appreciated the real-ness to Georgie and Neal's marriage. It made me very emotional at times. Real problems and real characters who are flawed.

I felt like the kiss from Seth is what sealed Georgie's decision to go to Nebraska. It had always been a question of "what if" with him and then when he finally admits he loves her, she realizes she's meant to be with Neal and she had been in the right place this whole time. And I loved that.

And I absolutely love Rainbow's writing style and how she sucks you in, especially with dialogue. She is a dialogue wizard to me. I always feel like I'm part of the conversations in her books.

Rachel (Smelleykins) (smelleykins) Just wondering, if anyone has managed to work out the Eleanor & Park reference in this book?? I think its Eleanor and Park, its a couple from her earlier books... i've tried but i'm just confused.

I didn't find an Eleanor & Park reference, but I did find a Fangirl one. When Georgie needed a ride to Neal's mother's house, a couple, who was recently engaged (!!!!!!), gave them a ride in a red truck. That gave me the thought that it was most likely Cath & Levi. :)

Also, someone tweeted Rainbow Rowell a few weeks ago saying, "by the way.... was the red truck cameo couple who I thought they were?" and she replied, "Yep."

I really enjoyed Landline, I was also left wondering what would happen to Seth, but honestly he shouldn't still be hung up on his married best friend. I don't know what will happen to Georgie and Neal, I hope that they can work it out now that Georgie knows just how much she loves Neal. I was hoping that they could move back to Omaha, Neal could teach and Georgie could commute via Skype or something. The thing that bugged me is that Neal never reached out to Georgie, he had to have gotten the messages from his mom and the girls, why couldn't he just send a text or something. I am glad that Gerogie didn't walk in on him and Dawn but I feel like Neal could have been more considerate of Georgie's feelings.

Kimmie Vrana (kimvrana) | 2 comments I adore Rainbow Rowell's writing style. I loved this book because of that. The characters are real and even if it had an unbelievable story line, it was so fun to read. It wasn't my favorite of her books, but it related the most to my current age. I can't wait for her next book!
