bookpool
We're gonna kick off the New Year with a BANG because Book Pool is back! For one month only!
You've gotta be in it to win it.

If you've never played, here are the rules:

1. When you sign up pick 3 books you want to be included in the "book pool."

2. You can pick any book as long as they have been released before the challenge has started. Please no duplicates.

3. Once the challenge starts you will read books from the "pool."

4. At the end of the month whoever read the most books from the pool is the champion!

Have fun!

The challenge begins on January 1st.
To claim points, please don't start your books from the pool until then!

You can sign up and add books until December 31st. You can join the Challenge after this date, but you will not be able to add books to the pool.

Ninitha (Niko) | 81 comments Isn't the book pool usually for 2-3 months? Is this just for a month? I'm sorry but my app is being weird and it just cutting of the main msg midways so I have no clue what the rules are.

Aaah! Thank you! That makes sense. I don't know how much reading I'll get done in January as I have family visiting from overseas and we are going to be traveling but I'd still give it a jolly good go. Count me in. My three picks are,

Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson
Nothing Bad Happens Here by Nikki Crutchley
The Complete Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

message 14: by Kerry (new)

Kerry | 156 comments Still seems to be a library queue for The Wish Child so I'll change that one. I was #25 in queue when I tried just now to borrow it.

I've just read the Michael King. It's an excellent read but it took me 3 months.

I'm not much of a non fiction reader though.

Bronwyn (bronwynelsmore) | 112 comments Okay, the books-got-for-birthday category fits me. These are paper books and since I’m an evangelistic ebook reader, tree books sit piling up unread. So, good challenge – I’ll reduce the pile by these three –

The Good People The Good People by Hannah Kent

Hi Bronwen,
Can you please change your first pick as book needs to be out before 31 Dec. I know its only a few days, but it all matters. Too hard for those who rely on libraries to read (me included).
