Jan 2018 is the 200th anniversary of the publication of Frankenstein.

Went through my To-Read shelf and tried to pick stuff out of the ordinary or different.

I've just read the Michael King. It's an excellent read but it took me 3 months.
I'm not much of a non fiction reader though.

Hi Bronwen,
Can you please change your first pick as book needs to be out before 31 Dec. I know its only a few days, but it all matters. Too hard for those who rely on libraries to read (me included).

We're gonna kick off the New Year with a BANG because Book Pool is back! For one month only! You've gotta be in it to win it.
If you've never played, here are the rules:
1. When you sign up pick 3 books you want to be included in the "book pool."
2. You can pick any book as long as they have been released before the challenge has started. Please no duplicates.
3. Once the challenge starts you will read books from the "pool."
4. At the end of the month whoever read the most books from the pool is the champion!
Have fun!
The challenge begins on January 1st.
To claim points, please don't start your books from the pool until then!
You can sign up and add books until December 31st. You can join the Challenge after this date, but you will not be able to add books to the pool.
