I can't believe it, they FINALLY uploaded the teaser trailer for The Terror.

i thought we had a topic already for the show, but I guess not.

Anyway, WHO IS EXCITED????!!! I can't wait. I don't have cable so I may have to figure something out because I won't be able to not watch this as it airs.

Me too! I read the book last January and I freaking loved it!!! At the time they were saying the show was going to air in 2017, but I couldn't find much info about it online. So it was a nice surprise to find out yesterday that not only did it get filmed but it has an air date too!

I'm so excited! I can't wait to see Lady Silence on the screen...

I finished the book this year and had no idea about the show until I saw someone mention it, probably on here. I then saw that it had been cast and the episodes filmed but no premiere date had been set until now. I am crossing my fingers that it's a good adaptation.

I'm excited. Just read the book last year as well. I hope it's good.

Has anyone listened to the audio of this? I have a very long drive coming up in a couple of days, and I'm considering listening to this, but I also have a few hours left in my current listen. The chances of me being able to read a book of that size before retirement are not high, but I also don't want to take a month to finish the audio :-)

I did, it was good.

I hope I get to see this, otherwise I will have to find time to read it. It has been on my list forever and I keep hearing how great it is. Thanks, Rachel, for starting this thread!

Well, up and running and I loved that first episode. Suitably dark. I just wish it was on Netflix so I could binge on the whole season.

Oh shoot. I don't have cable or anything but internet. I too wish it would be on Netflix. Hmmmm, may have to pay to watch it on YouTube.

I watched the first two episodes and loved them! So far, I think they've done a good job with the effects, the acting, and with sticking to the novel. I'll definitely be tuning in for the next episode.

Yes, really well-done so far. Love the cast, love the look. The mounting tension and the cold, cold, cold. I'm paradoxically glad I read it right when in came out and not since, because I'm enjoying the slow-building suspense more than I might have if I had fresher recall. :-)

I'm watching it tonight.

I'd like to see this in the summer when it's 110 degrees outside. I like the movie Everest for that very reason... lots of snow and ice to take the edge off the heat. :)

I'm just the opposite. I want to be cold & shivering just like the men are.

Just started watching this show as well. So far so good. It's a bit boring at times but it picks up.

i never did watch all of this.

I found the first part of this to be really good. It does take some time to get into but after a while it has great moments. I started watching the second one but never got around to finishing it.
