Jenny became deeply attached to baby Waaboo, so much so that it was affecting her relationship with Aaron. Were those feelings borne from her efforts to save and protect him or was something else at play? A bit of both?

She desperately wanted to be a mother. It is probably a good thing events separated her from Aaron. Their future looked rocky!

Her desire to be a mother was a wedge in her relationship with Aaron. They probably would have separated ultimately because that’s a big issue. I don’t think she was wanting to be a mother anytime soon but heightened emotions would have brought those instincts to the surface. Once that baby was threatened, Mama Bear emerged.
