Twilight Read-along! discussion

Oh goodness guys! It's already week three!! I feel like this is going soooo fast! Anyway, we get to continue and that's downright awesome!

Totally love the growing intimacy between Edward and Bella. I'll admit this wasn't my favorite section of the reading, mostly because I got bored with the meadow scene. I know that's usually everyone's favorite scene, and I honestly can't give you any good reason why it isn't my favorite. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but for some inexplicable reason...it bores me. However, I LOVE the scene when they go back to her house after. It's just so cute and seeing them get more comfortable with each other just makes my heart happy.

"My gratuitous drug use." Bella cracks me up. XD

When he tackles her onto his couch thingy makes me swoon so much

That's farther ahead right? Definitely looking forward to the next section. It has some of my favorite scenes.

Also again, the movie is messing with my memory. I remembered the first kiss being in the bedroom because that's what it was in the movie and it was actually in the forest. XD I love her realistic reaction to his running too.

Uh it happens when she meets the family I think? I don't really remember lol

Everything starts to run together ha.

What gets me weepy and swoony is that famous line, "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb." This is my fifth reading of the book, and this line STILL affects me like that.

"What a stupid lamb."

"What a sick, masochistic lion." Lol.

Aw, I just read that part! So cute :)

Now I'm thinking of reading that whole chapter again....sigh...Edward..... : )

So I'm finally caught up with everyone!! I forgot how much I love this book. It reminds me of when I was in high school and would get infatuated with someone so quickly. Before I knew it I was constantly watching for them in the hall, hoping they would call, and all the other cute things. So many people say oh there romance was too quick, but I think we forget when we fall for someone especially at that age we feel like we're in love and react that way! I would even get depressed if said guy wasn't at school! I love the emotions this is bringing back! I also love how you pointed out the kiss scene red.. I think it would have been way cuter to okay the meadow kiss scene on the movie.

Oh, Kelly, I think everything you wrote in this comment is right on target! This is EXACTLY how I feel! Especially when you wrote, "I love the emotions this is bringing back!" YES!!!! In my case, though,it happened in college, since I was unlucky enough to go to an all-girls' high school....Yeah, NOT cool, but that's where my parents sent me. Lol. So I'm living through the high school experience vicariously, but, at the same time, I'm remembering that guy in college who didn't even know I existed..... I used to even write poems about him, and also wrote in my diary about him....that was my first, real-life crush. The previous ones were all movie stars. Lol.

Of course, I would get depressed when I didn't see the guy in school. Ah, life! : )

I totally agree. I think it would have been way cuter if they kept it like it was written in the meadow.

Mari- that's exactly what I'm talking about lol! Stephanie Meyer did a fantastic job of capturing that aspect of teenage romance!

She certainly did! That's precisely why these books are SOOOO addictive!! For me, it was like living through an experience I never had in high school, because there were no boys! Oh, I HATED that! No input from the opposite sex. How boring....lol.

Yeah, there was that guy in college....but a college environment is not the same as a high school environment. Well, anyway, I got to see REAL high school life thanks to Stephenie! : )

I feel like I'm slacking lol booktubeathon pushed Twilight back for me. I agree that this wasn't my favorite section of reading, but I feel it had a lot of relationship development for Bell and Edward, which was obviously needed lol and YES the whole lion-fell-in-love-with-the-lamb-what-a-stupid-lamb-what-a-sick-masochistic-lion is my favorite quote hahaha

Selena! I watched it last night and was cracking up. I'm so glad they out more thought into these movies towards the end of the series

ITS A MARATHON!!!!! and they're showing all kinds of behind the scenes stuff!!!! why do i have to work?

I started watching it on TV too! Until my brother walked in and convinced me to watch Vampires Suck. Should have stuck with Twilight haha.

I found out about this much too late.....in fact, today I got up at 1:30 PM. Lol. I'm only working part-time at night now. But I have ALL the movies, and they're collector's editions, too!! Maybe I'll have my own Twilight marathon this weekend! : )
