I will be traveling half the month without any reading-time-guaranty... So I guess this will be a half-marathon? Haha..Please put me down for 6 books - I will either ease through it or fail completely. Glad my reading motto for 2018 is: relax and enjoy :-)

But cool that you'll be traveling! I LOVE to travel. Where will you be going (if you don't mind my asking)?
My start for the year will be Anatomy of a Scandal and Mister Tender's Girl, both at 400 pages. If for some reason Mister Tender's Girl is later coming than Anatomy of a Scandal, which it very well might due to release dates, I'll probably end up picking up a couple of Stephen King's short stories to make up for it.

I'm in! I'm starting school again for the first time in almost a decade so I'm going to aim small with 5 books OR 1,750 pages. I have some big doorstoppers in the plan for January so that may limit the number of books read, but definitely not the pages! lol

I'm in for 10 books. There's a bunch of short stories that I want to read as part of other challenges I'm participating in that I can start off with for this challenge. This is going to be fun!
So i decided to change my goal and skip Gone with the Wind for this challenge as i just need way more time for it. I read another "book" instead which is only 15 pages, so i feel a bit like cheating. But I will try to read another book in January as well, so maybe I can then make this one count instead.7/7
How did I overlook this for 24 hours?!I'm really not feeling much in the mood for reading lately but this was so much fun last year that I can't not join!
I'll be going for my trusty 1,000 page-goal to get my reading motors warmed up :D

Duration: January 1 - January 31, 2018
This is such a hit every year, that we thought we would kick off the year again with a running start! How often is it our New Year's Resolution to read more books? How many of us set goals higher than we did last year? How many of us want to read that super long classic that has been sitting on our bookshelf collecting dust, or spend a winter day curled up on the couch with a pile of graphic novels? Let's start 2018 with a marathon of reading!
With long holiday breaks coming, pick a pile of books that you feel you could snuggle up with: a nice over-500-page book, a stack of books under 100 pages, or those books that have been on your TBR list for way too long. Anything you choose is fair game!
This is not a sprint, but a way to spend January in the pages! Pick the number of pages or books you would like to read in January and post them below. The goal is to make fast progress on your reading goals in the New Year. Who would have thought that by hurrying up and sitting with a book, that you could do a marathon?
I’ll be cheering you along and helping you get off to a running start!
