Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Christina,

Caraval - I keep seeing this book everywhere. I wonder if it is good.
The Royal We - everyone needs a bit of romance every now and then ;)
Murder in the Secret Garden -Cozy mysteries is still a new to me genre. This one sounds good

Ghost in the Stacks Thanks Lusie, I read Alias Grace, and it was great. Hope you get to fit it in soon!

Lagullande | 484 comments Lusie wrote: "Haha, no problem! Pachinko is on my TBR as well. Can you let me know what you think of the book after you have finished it?"

Hi Lusie. Pachinko was long, but a pretty quick read. I gave it 4 stars (although half-way through, I was considering downgrading to 3). I recommend it if you like historical family sagas. And it taught me something new about Korean history.

message 25: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Glad you liked it, Abbie! I haven't found a challenge yet to use it for, but I'll certainly read it this year.

Lagullande, I do like that kind of books so I'll keep it on my tbr. Thanks for letting me know!

Thank you, Lusie! This is a hard choice, as the first book's author I've been wanting to read for a long time, the second I have as an ebook to complement all the paper books I'm currently reading, and the third I need as an upcoming IRL book club read. I think I better sleep on it....

message 35: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments that does sound like a hard choice! I think if I were you I'd go for the book you have been wanting to read for a long time, River Thieves.

That's how I'm leaning, assuming I can find my copy (to be honest, I don't just have a Mount TBR at my house, but a small mountain range).

Hi Lusie *waves*

Could I request 3 picks from my shelf please? Cheers!

message 45: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Tien! *waves back*
I was so tempted to choose to choose the next book in the stormlight archive series, but I think you're not ready yet. So I'll keep that one in mind for next time ;)

To Green Angel Tower, Part 1 - I love this series.
The Sky So Heavy - I like this title
An Unkindness of Magicians - this sound good, I'll add it to my tbr.

message 46: by Tien (new)

Tien (tiensblurb) | 9032 comments Mod
er yep, not ready for Oathbringer yet ha ha ha... I'll wait for you! After your exams? I don't I'd pick it up that soon unless I'm reading with someone else ha ha ha

It's probably going to be An Unkindness of Magicians since it's a library book due at the end of this month although I think this is the 3rd time for Green Angel so err... I'll see how I go when I finish my current reads :)

Thanks, Lusie!

message 47: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Haha. Are you going to read book 2.5 Edgedancer? If yes maybe we can squeeze that book in before we move on to book 3. Yes after exams would be best. While studying I tend to go for the quick and easy reads.

Could you let mee know what you think of An Unkindness of Magicians?

I keep picking that series for you lol Tad Williams is one of my favorite authors, so I can't help it.

Hm, I wasn't going to but now that I think about it, I am rather curious about Lift. Where have you slotted this book for in WoB, if at all?

As I said, it takes me forever to pick thick books... lol

message 49: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments I've got Edgedancer planned for science-fiction in round 3. I'm curious about Lift too!

I've got no problem with picking thick books. Especially not when I'm really into the series.
