This is one of the books in our library's new collections. It has his life as a young boy and his exploits. I always find it amazing how the literary world of people overlap, engage with each other; Alcott, Hawthorne, & Emerson. Finding out about his teaching practices, supposed tax invasion, and his family Dixon pencil business connection was very interesting.
However, the adventures with his brother are priceless. So, I give this book 5 stars.
