Chapter 26 (view spoiler)[ This.Is.So.Boring!!! Omg I’m dying of boredom from this book. I’m so disappointed. 164 pges into the book and all I get it whining from the eldest about how some girl (Amy) is disrupting the order of the ship by being different. Which wasn’t her fault to begin with. Clearly something’s up in the ship and if they took care of it back then, maybe Amy wouldn’t have been unfrozen. Maybe she wouldn’t be “disrupting” (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 34 (view spoiler)[ Am I the only one that thinks that the plague wasn’t a complete accidental plague but caused by someone on the ship? Maybe someone that wanted control and rules and uniformity in everyone? Someone say Eldest? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 53 (view spoiler)[ Okay Eldest is definitely controlling them but I wonder how. Is it the season? Is something the air or water, making everyone susceptible to persuasion? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 62 (view spoiler)[ That’s a long time...and a very big lie. I don’t understand why keeping this a secret helps anyone. Everyone’s going to eventually find out. They pride themselves in being able to create ingenius generations. Couldn’t one of them figure out how to fix their speed issue? What else is Eldest and this damn ship hiding?! They never actually answered the question of why there was no plague. (hide spoiler)]

Finished! (view spoiler)[ Okay edit. I actually wrote a finished comment section already for this book but I’m editing it because I ended up ranting. Yes I’m disappointed in this book. I had such high hopes for it and friends who usually like books that I do also enjoyed this book. So imagine my disappointment when I was halfway through and bored. I felt very disconnected with the story. It didn’t resonate with me at all. To the point that I felt emotionless. The books that I love the most are the ones that make me feel the most. Like I’m right there with the characters inside the book. I couldn’t connect with this one at all and even with the characters. The idea and the setting was interesting but I felt that it was too long. I thought the characters weren’t doing much in the beginning and that may have affected my mood for the rest of the book. I’m still on the fence about going through with the series. (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 16 (view spoiler)[ Hmmm things are actually pretty interesting so far. It's weird how the Godspeed runs. I don't like Eldest, he's a dick. But Elder is okay so far. I like Amy even though I've barely gotten to see her character. I wonder what was up with those voice she heard before she was unfrozen. It sounded like two people. Ch. 32 (view spoiler)[ I hate Eldest. He's a jerk and I want him to be overthrown. Ugh. I feel like nothing has really happened since Amy was woken up but I'm interested surprisingly. I really want to know who woke up Amy and why. I have too many hunches and not enough evidence. (hide spoiler)]

I feel the same way!! I'm just filled with rage at this and also (view spoiler)[ how the fuck did they not know their engine would not recycle efficiently!?! That's literally basic physics. You use energy and not all of it will come back. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 100% EFFICIENT ENGINE (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 68 (view spoiler)[ This is just really bad sci-fi. They're ship is fucking dying because the fuel is running out. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! IS THIS A JOKE?? And Harley killed himself, I'm sad as fuck. Also they are DRUGGING the ENTIRE SHIP. This is not going to end well! (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[ Well I was kind of right about the ending! I knew that Orion was super suspicious, makes sense that he was the other Elder. I'm glad Eldest is dead and the other Elder is frozen bc they were crazy af. I didn't like that Amy like really quickly forgave Elder about unfreezing her. Yeah he didn't know, but he basically ruined her life and killed her chance of being with her parents so she should still be mad a little I think (hide spoiler)]

Haha well I'm glad you enjoyed it more than I do. I don't know what it was but I was very disconnected with this book. Well my rant was mostly about Eldest and the whole lie about the ship. Eldest was just stupid and stubborn. I understand that everyone, however many years ago went insane about the extra years added but did they ever think that maybe if they delivered the message differently, then it might have been different? I still think unfreezing everyone would be better. If there amazing, irreplaceable people in those capsules, then there's bound to be genius that can solve their gas issue and may even make the ship fast enough to get to the planet. Then there's Elder. I did not hate him but I was also annoyed by his character. Yes, he is only sixteen (or seventeen, I forgot) but he was also very immature. Yeah teenagers are supposed to be immature but he seemed more like a boy that's just playing around a ship, pretending to be a spoiled brat heir. He unplugged a whole person without thinking about any consequences, just to meet her! There are a lot of other people on that ship that he could flirt with. I was also not happy about how she immediately forgave him. He ruined her life and she may never set foot on land again. Annnnnd she's okay after a day of brooding about it?
