Good morning, fellow mystery lovers! If no one guesses 'A RIEDEL Clue #2' by tonight, I'll automatically give a hint. There's no request in comments but it's unspoken. :) One person can win by wagering a correct guess today, without a hint though. A glance at the three ladies' bios is all it takes. www.CMRiedel.wordpress.com
The solution was added to the same post. A big thank-you to everyone for sharing your 2c! One can only play games if there are contestants. :) http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2014/07...
One of our members has handed in the right answer! You need to wage your guesses for
A RIEDEL Clue ~ 3 by tomorrow, or a solitary person can win without a draw.

Bev has won! Congratulations to her and everyone who read my post and played along, has my thanks. As always. I hope you enjoy my write-up about the answer to the riddles. Carolyn.
The last "A RIEDEL Clue" will be about January 9; an easy one. Tally your points (information link at the review page, or see the same format in "My Kind Of Mystery" 2015. Comment the sum (wrap-up links are voluntary) by February 28, 2015 and we'll draw the finale prize. Points get everyone who joined at least one name in the bowl, for participating even a little. :) "Ethereal" has the identical point system.
"A RIEDEL Clue IV" is here!
I cheer and salute our last activity of our premiere 2014 season! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

One person has guessed right! That means "My Kind Of Mystery" 2014 participants have nothing to lose by e-mailing guesses by Friday. If no one else solves our fourth riddle on the first clue alone, one person takes the prize. Let's give her some competition and make it a draw!
Who was knocked down as a pedestrian and hurt very seriously? I said it wasn't exactly a mystery author but one who excels at their craft. Look it up on the internet. Shoot guesses my way. I'll tell you how warm you are, so don't wait to confirm if you're right! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

A second person hazarded a guess; these two SOLELY because an idea occurred to them off-hand, of who it might be. No one made an attempt by looking it up on the internet and one person commented, to say they were playing. I hope participation rises in 2015! Rather than merely reading about someone else's mysteries, I hope to inspire us to solve a few of our own! I did a test this morning, looking up my clue by rewording the incident itself without the external details.
I'll leave you to see how it pans out to look up: "Author hit by a car". I will say, despite occurring fifteen years in the past, the first TEN search engine results pop up our answer immediately! I will write a post congratulating that second-guesser, for whom it paid off. It's Emma, of Words And Peace! Hip hip hooray!!!! I dedeuce I know which prize she'll choose. Q;-)=

Anyone type those words and look it up? Here is the updated post. Don't forget that while
our final 2014 riddle is revealed; that is part (1). I give until February 1, 2015 to solve part (2): the bookcover origin of our début logo! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

Thank you! I've noticed you & I are neck and neck at about 82, with the same 150 goal. I'm glad you see that this thread has been here for some time. Now maybe the other mystery ladies in this group will jump in with a few titles too.
A good 12 of those aren't reviewed yet, come to think of it. Thank goodness I had to keep the Canadian literature up to date, which is all I read from April through June. I'm going back as far as 18 next and can stop at 28. The final Canadian author is at 39. Then you can see I am gleefully reading anything but! Feel free to show titles here (text rather than thumnails are preferred for my slow internet) and everyone can chat about them.
At midnight, central North American time (Winnipeg Manitoba and Chicago, Illinois):
the first "A RIEDEL Clue" will be live! Here is a preperatory post. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...

Yay! Since Florida time is probably my time, you can check it out within the hour. Maybe I'm more in line with Texas. I'm north of North Dakota. Midnight, baby!
Attention, members of "MY KIND OF MYSTERY"! Our first "A RIEDEL Clue" this year is about to begin! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...
Riddle 1 has been solved in two rounds! You must solve it too with the clues we have, so that your names are added to the prize draw. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...
One member brave enough to guess. Oh well. All the more easy, to win without any draw. Congratulations, Neeru from India and the blog: A Hot Cup Of Pleasure! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2015/0...
Neeru is going to take her time pouring over her first and second choices. They are good, varied lists that I always hope have something for everyone! I certainly spend a couple of days analyzing what the harder to obtain prize is from a lot; cross-checking prices and quality! For Neeru, a little poking (without using the Mussoorie photograph) did the trick.
A question geared for "My Kind Of Mystery" and as always, open to all of you! What would you rather see as the next activity? An easier riddle, or a creative camera activity I have had in mind? Which would you be keener to do?
I congratulate those who have finished their pledged challenge levels, whether or not they are in this chat group. I'm aware Yvonne and Bev finished. I have my eye out for what they'll read next! There's no need to retire around here. ;-) FYI, I am not among them. I aim for the max and have thus far finished 60 mysteries. I've read a lot of non-fiction this year and am presently reading.... a romance! I'm outside the box this year. A heartfelt, adult one. Not a teeny bopper vampire fling. Hehehe.

I am not sure on the challenge - it was too difficult for me but it does need to be challenging. I haven't coordinated something like that before so I have no idea where to start on suggestions.
I promised the next riddle would be easier, that is a given. (Thought Patricia Wentworth as a writer born in England was cut & dried. It would seem lots of writers were)! Let me clarify what I'm asking. Alternatively to rolling out the next, easier riddle; I've also had a mystery idea planned that would be camera based. Which of the two would folks be keener about?
No matter, if folks are signed up to the mystery challenge. Until numbers are greater, I'm happy to invite participation from anyone connected with me: Goodreads, blogging, other challenges of mine, a newcomer happening to read the post.... If a number of folks don't appear to have a preference, I think I'll present the camera activity! It's something completely different and creative but as easy or fancy as anyone wishes to make it. What do my readers say?
* If members of this group / my trio of related challenges turn out in spades, I would do a separate draw in deference to you. Gotta cover bases and ensure we aren't presenting all this hoohaw for two entrants, until we grow. :)

The third summmary for our 2015 groups is out! If you would like to read about our adventures in "MY KIND OF MYSTERY" or if you would like to summarize your journey, here is the post! This clears me to present the four new groups, as soon as I have links working and details nicely polished. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2016/0...

Announcement: the second 'A RIEDEL Clue' will likely roll out tomorrow! It is for everyone in "My Kind Of Mystery", even if you're done that challenge, or haven't begun linking reviews yet.
