This challenge is about capturing our collective reading and having it add up to or exceed 1,000,000 pages by the end of 2018. Let's see if we're up to the challenge!
Here's how it works:
1. After you finish reading a book (print, eBook, or audiobook), add the title using the add book/author feature and the number of pages to the Challenge post. (For audiobooks, you may use the page numbers assigned to the print or eBook, whichever you feel is appropriate.)
2. You then must add your number of pages to the previous person's total to come up with the new cumulative total.
3. Each entry should be numbered consecutively, following the numbering of the previous person's post.
4. All books count! The only criterion is that it be read in 2018.
Here's an example of how it works
Nicole: 1. The Secret (364)....364
Kris: 2. Sworn to Silence (450)....814
Sheery: 3. Everything I Left Unsaid (358)....1,172
The above example assumes that Nicole starts the challenge so the cumulative total is equal to the page number for her book. When Kris posts her entry, she will add her page numbers (450) to the cumulative total (364) and the new cumulative total is 814. Sheery will do the same, arriving at a new cumulative total of 1,172.
Be sure to number your entry so we can also keep track of the number of books. If you're posting more than one book at a time, be sure to number each book entry.
Important! Make certain you are on the most current page before numbering and adding your totals. You can do this by selecting "newest" at the top right of the message section of the page. Then post your comment.
