1. Happy New Year!: The 1st day of January is an international holiday to celebrate the dawn of a new year. Use the concept of starting over for this part of the challenge. Sebring 1/2
2.Dear John: The 2nd week of January is Letter Writing Week. To celebrate, read a book that contains characters who write or receive letters during the course of the book. Even better if that is the main concept of the book.
3.Festival of Sleep: This grandly restive day falls on January 3rd. It is dedicated to celebrating sleeping or napping. Read a book that involves the concept of sleep, such as an old favorite like "Sleeping Beauty" or a character who can walk through other people's dreams or who can put others to sleep via their abilities.

5.Cuddle Up Day: January 6th is the opportunity to enjoy cuddling up with someone, with a pet, under a warm blanket, with a book. 6.We Three Kings:The Feast of the Epiphany falls on January 6th, a day that celebrates the three wise men who traveled to meet the Christ child. It's celebrated in Latin America and other parts of the world. For this challenge, read a book with a prominent character who is a king, or a wise man (could be queen or wise person), or who goes on a journey of discovery.
7.MLK: Dr. Martin Luther King Junior was a civil rights leader whose life work was fighting for the equal rights of all people and building bridges among people for the betterment of all. His birthday falls on the 3rd Monday of January. Celebrate this man's life and work by reading a book that represents some of the concepts he fought for.
