I have only read 6 of the 36 Canadian fiction books but most of the others are on my TBR pile. Many of these books have been discussed here and two books on the list of Canadian fiction are by our own members!!! Michael Kaan and Maia Caron
Thanks for posting this list. Many of these I haven't seen before.

It's a compact list for sure, I counted 8 that I was able to read and one that I am working on. I have many on my tbr pile as well. Always love these lists...!

So many more books to add to my already growing TBR list. Sigh.
Even though it is TBR month, here are some reading suggestions for this summer: http://www.cbc.ca/books/the-cbc-books...
i am currently reading Warlight and already enjoyed Vi.

some books, coming out in August, to look forward to. I received an ARC of Starlight and after the book was done, kept wanting to go back to those characters: http://www.cbc.ca/books/10-canadian-b...
and some fiction too: http://www.cbc.ca/books/26-works-of-f...
Love these lists as it enables me to put holds on the books at the library and get them while they are brand new!

Not like we really need more book suggestions but here is a new list of suggestions from CBC: https://www.cbc.ca/books/the-cbc-book...

Others I want to read are Tanya Talaga's new book, The Woo-Woo: How I Survived Ice Hockey, Drug Raids, Demons, and My Crazy Chinese Family and Mamaskatch: A Cree Coming of Age

I loved Warlight!

Thank you Louise. I just looked at the nlrb lists - good suggestion. I love the Canada Reads lists but I also like to read authors from other countries. I love that they list by country. Also great breakdown for children's books. I have suggested this site to three other avid readers already.

You can certainly see the influence of Canada reads!

any one read any of these? I read Albatross which was ok (not my favourite of his books) and When We Were Vikings which I won as an ARC and was excellent.

Can't wait for Ridgerunner! A lot of others on the list sound promising too.

While there was some duplication in the two lists, I was surprised there wasn't more. Such great lists and I added a lot new books to my "possibiliy pile."
