Rating 4 stars. I really enjoyed this! I've read the manga which is based on this book. I must say I liked the book a bit better, because it was more descriptive and went into more detail than the manga. I would say read the book first, then read the manga. Great audio.

Thanks! I liked noticing the similarities and differences between the novel, manga and the movie. The novel is a good standalone. :)

Rating: 4 stars. Awesome, action packed fantasy/paranormal story. Great audio! First in the series and I'll be listening to the second next.

Rating: 4 stars. The sequel to Black Dog Blues was just as good as the first book. Love the mix of action, fantasy creature and paranormal. Great audio here too. I'm hoping there will be a third book in the future.

Rating: 4 stars. I love Rhys Ford's writing. This book felt like a mix of her Cole McGinnis investigator series, and her Kai Grace series (Black Dog Blues and Mad Lizard Mambo), and a great mix at that! A mystery/crime to solved, coupled with paranormal elements and a romance, this is a winner. Great audio!
