Rainy has moved to Albuquerque for the time being to help her son who is struggling with addiction. Based on how she left things, were she and Cork still in a relationship?

I couldn’t really get on firm ground with where they were. She had a compelling reason to leave and I felt that was temporary. They were still in touch with each other and even though she told him it would be okay for him to go his own way, you know she didn’t mean it...just didn’t want to hold him back. He should have clarified.
