When Stephen and Marlee crashed into the lake, he refused to let Marlee go to save himself even though his brain was telling him to do so. What are we learning about him?

That's our Stephen. He has inherited this from his father - always putting the weaker person before himself.

My feelings exactly. I loved how Krueger wrote that scene, letting us know that Stephen knew he needed to let Marlee go, wanted to survive but in the end, his natural instincts wouldn’t let him. It was a powerful moment and really defined him for me.
