What clue or event tipped you off that these events (Evelyn’s disappearance, Dexter’s murder, etc.) had something to do with Cecil LaPointe?

Sadly I think I had to be told this. The mystery was too convoluted for me so I just let it go and enjoyed the book:)

It was a convoluted mystery because Frogg was such a mess. For me, the dog’s head showing up at Ray Jay’s Cabin was my first clue, even though I was going in the wrong direction for the reasons. I couldn’t figure out the who until I was told.
