Throughout the story, Cork is tempted by Stella even while he kept telling himself he wasn’t that kind of guy. Why do you think he ended up sleeping with her? How do you feel about it? Did he choose Rainy in the end because of Skye’s last words to him about never wanting to cause the kind of pain she was feeling as a result of Anne’s choice or is he in love with Rainy?

I think he might be in love with Rainy. It may have been due to her going away that he let himself be tempted by Stella.

I’ve never been more disappointed in Cork. This was the same mistake he made with Jo when he took up with Molly. Close one relationship before you start another. And, he’s already hurt Rainy because it got back to her. He gave Stella hope and now she’s going to be hurt. As much as he says he’s not that kind of guy, I believe he is and just doesn’t know it.

I do believe he chose Rainy because of what Skye said. I’m not entirely sure he loves Rainy enough.
