Team Gone with the books

When you have a team name, just let me know and I'll update this thread name :)
First stop - Maraba, Brazil

Your first stop is Maraba, Brazil
You can choose as a team to:
TASK
- Read books set in Brazil, or by Brazilian authors or
- Do a spell-it-out of Maraba or Brazil
OR
You can elect to do the detour, which for this stop, means that four team members need to Read a book with a Military rank in title (Private, Major, Captain, General, etc)

I don’t have any books by Brazilian authors, so I would vote for the spell out.
Otherwise... Coelho is a Classic, I could also read something written by him.

I like Gone with the Books also - it does happen to resonate with my favorite book ever! :)

◈ At each stop the team will need to chose the option of completing a task, or take a more difficult detour.
◈ The task to complete at each stop is determined by the team. The team can either:
(a) read books set in that country or by an author of that country or
(b) complete a spell-it-out of that country or city
◈ A "detour" may be chosen at each stop by the team instead of completing a task. The detour will be worth more points, but be more difficult to accomplish.
--The detours available at each stop will be given to your team when you start, so you can decide in advance if there are detours you want to do.
--Each team will be able to do a maximum of 5 detours over the course of the challenge
--The detours will be random and chosen from our Goal list.
--A detour requires at least 4 members of the team to complete that goal before the detour is considered complete.

If we choose task (a) we can read different books.
I guess we could choose to read the same book though :)

We get points as long as we complete the task and bonus if the 6 of us who have responded do it. Just let me know what to get reading!

But For the team name I think we should wait until we have everyone’s input. That way everyone has a say.

Yep

Fuerteventura (ES)
Fuerteventura, the second largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, sits in the Atlantic Ocean 100km off the north coast of Africa. It’s known primarily as a holiday destination due to its white-sand beaches and year-round warmth cooled by constant winds. The multitude of beaches that wrap around it are interrupted by cliffs and sheltered coves. It's popular for water sports, especially surfing, windsurfing and waterskiing.

Question for y'all. If we next read a book set in the Canary Islands - I have a novella I want to read - and it's 160 pages. Do we have a minimum page count?
