But,.. Amazon and Cre..."
I know that Draft2Digital.com offers printing as well as publishing. American based so I can't help you with any details you're looking for. They will be an option I investigate when I publish. Good luck and hope someone can better help you.

You can limit how often Createspace pays out so that you only get a check when it reaches a certain amount?
But,.. Amazon and CreateSpace have much better royalties and make it more affordable to buy copies of your own books.
CreateSpace only offers Canadian resident authors royalty payments by check, with a $8 fee on each check. So, they are out, it’s not economical for relatively low volume sales (even though I am trying to change that)
I have read mixed reviews on the print quality of Amazon’s POD. So, unsure whether it’s worth switching.
My motivation to switch is having a printer that is closer tied to Amazon, so my book doesn’t falsely show an expected shipping time of 1-2 months when sales are slow - despite Bookbaby printing in 5 days. Amazon recently switched my shipping status to show a 1-2 month estimate on the same week I had a great article published in my local paper. I suspect any new customers I may have gained would have been scared off by the estimated shipping time displayed by Amazon.ca.
So, I would love to hear feedback from Canadian authors about their experience with POD providers.
