MobileRead Book Challenges discussion

I'd like to read more science, philosophy, and programming books this year. I also plan to read around 50 books for this challenge, much more than my GR Reading Challenge.

So far, I am not doing too well on this; I've read three books, none of which are particularly science-y, philosophical, or technical. Need to change that.
