What have you been reading this year? Seems I'm on a mystery kick so far this year.

Mika Michelle I seem to be on a mystery kick as well. I’m currently reading the “A Miss Fortune mystery” by Jana Deleon. It’s like the golden girls meet Miss Congeniality. I’m absolutely loving this. So far I’ve read

Louisiana Longshot (Miss Fortune Mystery #1) by Jana Deleon 5/5
Lethal Bayou Beauty (Miss Fortune Mystery #2) by Jana Deleon 5/5

And currently Swamp Sniper (Miss Fortune Mystery, #3) by Jana Deleon which is good but doesn’t seem as good as the first 2

Laura (llbasaldua) | 790 comments I just started Dead Woman Walking by Sharon J. Bolton hopefully this one is good!

her Daisy in Chains by Sharon J. Bolton and Little Black Lies by Sharon J. Bolton were both excellent reads!

message 5: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments I finished Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills 4 stars. Loved this book, so cute! Loved the characters.

Also finished The Glass Arrow by Kristen Simmons and I LOVED this read, 5 stars! I could not put it down. So many great things about this dystopian! And I get to meet the author in March :)

Started Leia, Princess of Alderaan (Star Wars) by Claudia Gray and I'm really liking it so far. I'm also seeing the new Star Wars movie Wednesday night, so perfect timing!

Also going to be rereading The Magician (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #2) by Michael Scott Trying to finish this series this year! And its been so long, I think I need to reread them.

I found Anne Frank Remembered The Story of the Woman Who Helped to Hide the Frank Family by Miep Gies in my workplace library, I've been reading it on my breaks. Good so far!

Well currently I'm reading Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. First book in the Elder Races series. So far its been a joy to read, lots of action, romance, humor and mystery. It balances everything really well. If you guys are interested in Y/A paranormal and urban fantasy I highly recommend this one.

message 20: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments So I finished Leia, Princess of Alderaan (Star Wars) by Claudia Gray and I really liked it! And there were a few things in there that made the new Star Wars movie make more sense. Oh, and I LOVED The Last Jedi, really fun movie!

I'm still in the middle of my reread of The Magician (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #2) by Michael Scott

Also started Did I Mention I Love You? (The DIMILY Trilogy, #1) by Estelle Maskame which is kind of addicting.

And started Nobody's Princess (Nobody's Princess, #1) by Esther M. Friesner I've had this duology for a LONG time, finally decided to read it! I'm trying to read books on my shelves that have been there a long time. This is a Helen of Troy origin story. Really liking it!

As you can see, I'm having trouble sticking to just one book right now! All my books are calling my name! And I just got a huge stack from the library.

message 26: by Mika Michelle (new)

Mika Michelle I finished Swamp Sniper (Miss Fortune Mystery, #3) by Jana Deleon 3/5 Stars. I liked the book but it just wasn’t as funny as the other two. I’ve been reading Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) by Kristin Cashore and I want to love it but I’m not too fond of it. It seems a bit slow and dragging in most chapters. Other books I’m reading are The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie (Flavia de Luce, #1) by Alan Bradley , Swamp Team 3 (Miss Fortune Mystery, #4) by Jana Deleon , The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air, #1) by Holly Black , and I Am Watching You by Teresa Driscoll . Im hoping I’ll get at least 2 goodreads out of one of those books lol

message 28: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments I finished Nobody's Princess (Nobody's Princess, #1) by Esther M. Friesner 3.5 stars--hoping for more action, but still a good take on mythology and a quick read; my reread of The Magician (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #2) by Michael Scott loved it; and Did I Mention I Love You? (The DIMILY Trilogy, #1) by Estelle Maskame 4 stars and a very addicting read.

I started The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle So far I've read "A Study in Scarlet" and I LOVED it! So glad I'm finally reading these stories, I've wanted to for so long!

Also going to be starting The Little French Bistro by Nina George and The Fire Wish (The Jinni Wars, #1) by Amber Lough

I adored The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George, so I'm very excited to read her newest book!!

I didnt like Warcross there was far to much insta love/romance and I thought it was seriously predictable.

What a great idea! I'll have to find a few to read. Maybe from your list. I enjoyed the Upside of Unrequited. By Your Side didn't really do it for me. Everything, Everything was good. Outlander is a beast of a book, but oh my...Jamie Frasier is most definitely worth it. Enjoy!
