Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by C.J. Roberts
Any books similar to captive in the dark? I want some good dark romance books !

you can try

Tears of Tess by Pepper Winters. It is a trilogy as well. Is a dark romance with BDSM, but a different story compare to captive in the dark.

Check out Skye Warren, Kitty Thomas, Scarlett Edwards.

Try the "Consequences" Trilogy by Aleatha Romig... it's got super twists though. More than the Dark Duet. These were beautifully written and will likely make your head explode.

There's an addition too called "Behind His Eyes" I have yet to read it because I am still enjoying mostly hating him.

One that is similar in a sense but only for the gore part is Held (Held, #1) by Kimberly A. Bettes

However The Abduct series does have similar themes, in the abduct series the main character and her sister are threatened to be taken but her sister is killed. She is then beaten etc however the path it takes is different, i dont want to spoil it though. The whole series is here The Abduct Series The Novel by Mercy Cortez

But more reviews are posted on the serperate books Messy and Shattered (Abduct, #1) by Mercy Cortez Equivocal (Abduct, #2) by Mercy Cortez Abduct Messy & Shattered and Equivocal (Abduct, #1-2) by Mercy Cortez Jethro's Journey (Abduct, #3) by Mercy Cortez

Hi,

I seen a book in a thread but I can't remember the name. Basically it is about a guy who is a author. He writes books on horror dark, captivity, kidnapping.
But what people don't know is everything in his book has been practiced in real life by himself. Its a series book . The author kidnaps a girl and does brutal things to her she's a captive in his basement for months.

But the girl somehow escapes . She doesn't go to the police cause she doesn't want to think about it . So she just stays low. The author even cut one of her finger off.

I remember looking at the other book descriptions and reviews. From that I found out that in the second book or the one after can't remember. But basically the heroine goes back to her normal life. But one day she's watching t.v and gets furious . Because her captors getting a award on his book which to everyone else is fiction. But the heroine knows its about all the torture he did on her. She gets so mad that she wants revenge, she apparently gets it . But the author tells her that he did other horror things to other girls. But he could not forget her. In the book after that she even becomes a psychopath like him and helps him to kidnap, kill, torture girls.

P.s I haven't read any books , its just a habit I have I read descriptions , reviews if I know its a series. Which I did in the case but forgot to shelve it in my to read.

I recommend the "Tears of Tess" by Pepper Winters Series or "Debt Inheritance" by Pepper Pepper wInters.

Honestly, I haven't been able to find anything that comes remotely close to CJ Robert's writing or her book. She ruined me for other book, but in a good way. Really hope this series get's picked up for a TV series. Everyone go sign the petition!! :)

you should try Debt by Nina G.Jones and RAW by Belle Aurora!MIND BLOWING!

You could try Flawed best book I've read in this particular genre. Far exceeds CITD.

Wanderlust by Sky Warren isn't that dark, but it is the captive falling for the captor. Um Chosen by Barbara Elsborg is good, though it has a different ending/outcome.

well the ones with the same plot are probebly Her Masters Courtesan and Decimation of Mae both have no HEA though but i liked Escape from Paradise in my opinion its not as dark as Dark Duet which i also realy liked but still intence , realistic and with the simmiler thieme you might also like The Tied Man its very dark but the plot is complitly different

Tears of Tess - is brilliant!

ALL great books suggested so far ,read them all !Try Nashoda Rose or an unexpected find Ashe Barker both good dark romance authors .

Raw by belle aurora- very dark, bad boy "hero"
Escape from paradise by Gwendolyn Field - human trafficking
Screaming in Silence by Lydia Kelly - abduction, Stockholm syndrome
Monster in His Eyes by JM Darhower- dark, bad boy hero

try Joseph Fallen (The Estate, #0.5) by M.S. Willis Madeleine Abducted (The Estate, #1) by M.S. Willis Hope Restrained (The Estate, #2) by M.S. Willis IT'S THE DARKEST, DEMENTED, SADISTIC, ALL CONSUMING, MIND BLOWING BOOK I'VE READ SO FAR

Amazon banned Her Master's Courtesan by Lily White. I thought it was a good dark read.

Personally, until now I haven't find a book similar to this one apart from FSOG which is something else. But I have to tell that I read Killing Sarai and its sequel Reviving Isabel which I recommend you. There aren't sex scenes but there is intense action between the heroes.

you can try Killing Sarai (In the Company of Killers, #1) by J.A. Redmerski and Reviving Izabel (In the Company of Killers, #2) by J.A. Redmerski It doesn't have BDSM, but shares a same basic plot line. Abduction, Sexual Abuse, Cold hearted killers, A Fourteen Year Old Girl Who'll do Almost Anything To Survive
I think you'll also like Tears of Tess and Quintessentially Q

Her Master's Courtesan (Masters, #1) by Lily White

Very dark! But don't expect a lot of redeeming qualities in Aiden like you do w/Caleb! Just warning in advance!!

Twist Me by Anna Zaires is really goodTwist Me and there is a sequel coming in late Sep.

I will also recommend the Tears of Tess trilogy by Pepper Winters. I also enjoyed Underestimated (Underestimated, #1) by Jettie Woodruff and That Which Destroys Me by Kimber S. Dawn . Both are different than the Captive in the Dark books, but I'd say they were definitely dark.
