Sarah provides Frank with valuable insights about how the wealthy operate. Could he have solved this case without her? Why or why not?

I don't think so. The idea of caring more about scandal than finding the identity of your child's killer would've been too foreign to Frank.

I don't think he would have solved it either. He wouldn't have interviewed the staff at Greentree the way he did, nor would he have known anything about the lawyer. Plus, the big clues came from Mary Higgins, Mrs. Higgins' oldest daughter. Frank never even bothered to talk to the children.

Sarah kept steering Frank in the right direction on this investigation. I don't think he could have figured it out without her.

Sarah give Frank an "in" into the a world that he would not have had access to otherwise. He coulde never have solved it without her.

I agree with you all, I don't think Frank could have solved the case without Sarah.

I agree, Sarah greatly helped him, he couldn't have solved it alone. Even for things that I think he'd have eventually managed on his own (like talking to servants and finding Fisher), she quickly steered him in the right direction, speeding the investigation.
