Cryptic, ain't I? They're going to my hometown, or whatever that place is. Most of my relatives are there.

message 7: by ella (new)

ella For how long?

message 8: by Hallie, I'm all about the books (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) | 5470 comments Mod
Till Monday.

message 9: by ella (new)

ella Oh, so it's not so long.

Wren Figueiro | 12 comments It was great until a little while ago when I finished the final book in a series of 6 and the author killed off one of the main characters! Why would you make all the others HEAs and then do that on the last one?!! I feel so cheated......

It was (view spoiler).

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, I haven't heard of that.

Was there another series that does the same thing? 'Cause I'll be sure to stay away.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, the Divergent series has a pretty important character killed off. Throne of Glass had a really awesome character killed off in the 2nd book, but it's still an amazing series anyway. Other than that, I can't think of any.

message 17: by Hallie, I'm all about the books (new)

That almost took place in Harry Potter.

He was awesome. :(

message 21: by Wren (last edited Jun 23, 2015 01:28PM) (new)

Wren Figueiro | 12 comments Yeah, I wasn't too fond of Allegiant either, though at least it made sense to the plot. Though she might have pushed that one a little. And Harry Potter I also understood the significance of the people who get killed. Still sucked, but it had meaning, well except for (view spoiler).
For this book, it seemed like the author needed an easy fix. Think a different ending would have made a stronger point.

message 26: by Wren (new)

Wren Figueiro | 12 comments No good classes coming up? Or the classes you're in aren't any good?

message 27: by Hallie, I'm all about the books (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) | 5470 comments Mod
The classes are repetitive, and the teachers are acting really irritating.

message 31: by Hallie, I'm all about the books (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) | 5470 comments Mod
My back and thighs are paining, and I have tests starting from tomorrow. Talk about a bad weekend. The book I've ordered isn't available, so I was forced to cancel it. The T.V isn't working, and my father and brother have gone to my uncle's place. The weekend is a lot better ironically.

Linda Dobinson (baspoet) Today I feel bored, fed up and irritable :(

That's bad. Try something new.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Right now, I'm in a HORRIBLE mood! The book I'm reading is absolute crud. The main character is naive and boring. She keeps narrating in one word sentences, like 'Deer? Headlights? Hi, I'm Ali', 'No. I stared. Hard.', and 'I was relieved about that. I wasn't disappointed.' The love interest may as well be described as 'the hottest, sexiest, cutest, most handsome, most extraordinary, utterly celestial guy to ever grace the Universe by simply EXISTING'. And the book reeks of instalove. I'm not kidding. This is LITERALLY insta-love. The moment the main character and the love interest's eyes meet, they're having a VISION of making out with each other!!!!! The only good part so far is the main character's new best friend, Kat. I'm only 66 pages into this book! How much more of this torture do I have to endure?!?!?!?!?!

I was out hacking into my moms jungle of a backyard after all the rain and got bit to pieces. So currently looking like death warmed over while coughing up remnants of my soul. And I still have to clock in .... Pink bismuth to go... Still working on this stack though :)

I gave it up and wrote a review about it. A review full of ranting (and it has gifs!) I didn't even get a hundred pages in.

The best thing to do when you dislike a book.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) Tired and achy. I'm well into the sixth month of pregnancy now, so my back is starting to feel the extra weight! :) I think I need a nice hot bath and my book when I get home today!
