I was happy to see that at my blog just now and it is handy and fun to have you here as well, Sarah. Feel free to make yourself a folder in this category.... and in any of my themes that tempt you. :-)
The My Kind Of Mystery keyhole is unlocked! Click it for an array of activities. This keyhole will unlock at our "Headquarters 2018" page, or sign-up page! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/headqu...
Hello! Everyone has been quiet here and in the comment boxes at our Mother blog. We are the fewest this year that RIEDEL Fascination has ever seen. I can see that, behind the scenes, the review linkies are being wonderfully filled-in. Of course, anyone wanting to catch up using a link to their own tracking may most certainly post that at the comment box of that challenge page.
Let's talk about the year end prize draw! I like beating the new year's price raise that Canada Post makes and mail whatever our winner chooses by Christmas. I asked that everyone who would like to be in the draw, for a second-hand book or another variety of choices, to please give me their name anywhere. It can be here, by e-mail, or in any comment box at my blog. Please chime in within a week. :)
Yours sincerely and your coming birthday girl, Carolyn!

The comment box on the review page is fine. It is at the bottom. Some of us are such large readers, a link to your own page with your whole suite, is just great, Sarah. I saw how much you contributed before. Easy and enjoyable is the mission. :-)
Some participants said they wished to set a minimum this year, instead of adding as the year goes on. Others find the year flies by, busy; at least away from the computer. Like me, they will step up summaries in January. I suddenly have free time to browse and finish things in January. I like seeing how many books I finish up to new year's eve and it makes sense that we have ample time to assess, afterwards.
Thank you very much for wishing me a happy birthday early, Sarah!

It is high time to share a clue about our book cover. Because writing a blog post takes me more time, I warm things up in this group. For players who aren't here and one who is not at Goodreads, I will certainly post at the head blog momentarily. Those wanting to be in the year-end prize draw should pipe up. We draw this week.
Naming the 2018 "My Kind Of Mystery" logo gives participants of any of my 4 groups an extra name in the draw. Everyone who would enjoy solving it for fun, including folks not in my groups, are welcome! See the cover at this URL and here we go, below! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/mykind...

The cover I chose for our 2018 group is not the one I own but I find it the most beautiful. I have not read this novel yet but this version suggests paranormal content but the categorization is something I favour anyway: gothic mystery. It is a recent release (2010 onward), originating in England with this cover and a title about a character. It was reissued in Canada and the United States one month after, with a cover and title about a place.
My first step is always to see if anyone recognizes it. The clue with which to really work well, is that the English authoress' name, resembles an American author of Greek-inspired children's fantasy adventures. They are blockbuster films, in which Pierce Brosnan has appeared.

Here is the wrap-up for participants of all four of my reading themes, to share their tallies and musings. I invite everyone to read about what I host and to play along, at solving our 2018 "My Kind Of Mystery" logo! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2018/1...
I traditionally announce the identity of our 2018 "My Kind Of Mystery Logo", after giving a year for people to guess the book cover from which we derived it. I did not add clues until recently but I would hate to close without guessers. I wrote the steps I would use to solve it, so you are comfortable digging in. Everyone is welcome to sleuth. Answer at my blog, please. Have fun! https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2018/1...
Sheri, a friend at Goodreads, solved our annual mystery riddle logo, even though she was not a registered guest. She is now! I am happy to see veteran and new faces, return to my variety of four groups already, in these first days of posting them; which bodes well for additional members.
Have a read of the soution. My thank-you, to everyone who pulled us through the lowest participation year. May it not be like that again but know my appreciation, that each of you mattered all the more last year. Yours Truly, Carolyn. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2018/1...
