But I'm so happy that he found out about the king beating kham and killing the bastard's arm!
I hope he's not cruel to her, I hate it when the heroes are assholes toward an inocent heroine.

(view spoiler)[ I found that part hard to handle a little bit! I still can't believe she was able to even FUNCTION only mere days after that crazy beating. (hide spoiler)]

I am about 10 hours into the audio, can't remember what chapter but...The only thing I am having a hard time with so far in this book is that this didn't have to be a 500+ page book/21 hour audiobook. There is A LOT of in between detail that has been unnecessary and makes me kind of zone out. Like additional minutes of her eating or getting dressed or I don't know is it just me?

I like everything else so far though!

The long descriptive books is the author's style I think! And it's great for when I'm working. I have the headphone on and working and even if I zone out a little bit I know I haven't missed anything.

Just finished the prologue. I don’t think there will be a twist. Killing the townspeople and Garrick was a declaration of war. Eloping with Ella could be forgiven but not the deaths.

I'm thinking what if the deaths weren't Falcon's fault and he was forced to go through with it .... that sort of twist.

I admire Khamsin’s pride and strength of character but I can’t understand how anyone could condone what Falcon did to get the book. Also, if Kham gives birth to Wyn’s heir then Falcon will have to fight his nephew to reclaim Summerlea...

Finished Ch.5 I approve of Verdan’s punishment.

Hmmmm she's nauseous all the time, is she pregnant? She might lose it now that the boy hit her in the stomach.

I think the Jasmine tea the maid is making for her has something "extra" in it. Either to prevent her from getting pregnant or make her miscarry if she does.
