After nominations close I make a poll with the nominees and you vote in the poll :)

D - yes we are. Sorry for being late setting up the thread. Nikki has had internet issues lately and I am still learning all the timelines. I’ll head over and make the thread right now.
D - I forgot to set up the discussion threads! I'll do that now :) We are reading Huntress, Stray City, Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic and Through the Woods
I wasn't sure. There hasn't been very many nominations lately. We'r haven't even had to have a poll in a while. I was thinking maybe in 2020 going to choosing a series and working through it instead of different genres each month. What do you think?
Books mentioned in this topic
Huntress (other topics)Stray City (other topics)
Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic (other topics)
Through the Woods (other topics)
-Nominations are open once the thread is posted until the 15th of the preceding month for the next month's book.
-The 15th thru 25th voting will occur by poll. The two books with the most votes will be the books of the month
-You may nominate one book AND second one book
-You do not have to nominate anything before seconding a book. If you choose to only use your second-ing vote that is perfectly fine.
-The 10 books with the most seconds will go to the poll if we get more than 10 nominations.
-Main page genre must be the theme or you must give a reason or explanation subject to moderator approval.
- Past books of the month cannot be nominated, we do have scheduled group rereads.
-
Graphic novels are allowed and there are no minimum page counts.Sequential Art (Graphic Novels/Manga/Comics) will be it's own seperate thing going forward. The nomination rules and schedule for them will be the same as for books.- Books must be first in a series or a stand alone unless the group has already read the book in the series that came before the one being nominated.
- Authors may nominate their own books but only if it fits the genre of the month
December's book is a special case. There will be no nomination thread, instead each third place book from all the polls that year will go into December's poll which will run for all of November. This way they get one last shot in making it as a book of the month. We still read the top two books from this poll as normal.
*If you have any questions about the nomination or voting process fee free to ask in this thread.
