Oh this is going to be interesting
I think it will take some creative reading, and I suspect more than one anthology to get those cover categories, but it will be different from past Feb Challenges.

1) Read 3 books with cupids/male angels on the cover.

2) Read 3 books with a picture of something to do with a wedding on it.

3) Read 2 books with anyone dressed in "classical" garb (you know, the Greek robes look, Minoan, ancient Egyptian or Roman togas.) If you can find cover with pearls that will work too, since the Pearl is a "gemstone" sacred to Venus/Aphrodite.
1.
2.
4) And finally, to celebrate the vendors who sell all those chocolates/candy and/or flowers, or a restaurant for that romantic meal out, the last 2 books should have a cover with a picture of candy or flowers or even a set up like you would see at a restaurant on it.

Wedding Related
The Wedding by Danielle Steel
My copy has doves on the cover (they still release doves at some weddings don't they??), but there are other versions which do have a bride on it.
My copy =

Flowers and Candy
Sweets: A History of Candy by Tim Richardson
Darkest Mercy by Melissa Marr

This was tricky, but I managed to find some that fit!

I also have a lot of chicks with guns, swords or knives also Lynn.
♥ ♥Lynn ♥ ♥ said: .Most of my covers are chicks with swords, not so much flowers. However, this could also be another challenge...Weapon of choice.
Hum, that might be an idea for a challenge honouring Memorial Day. There are plenty of UF's where the MC's are weaponed up.
And I have been looking at my dead tree books--and I don't have any with shells either. I might have to add something to that one.

L. M. Warren you are "allowed" 3 non-pnr/uf books per challenge. Having said that--our definitions are very liberal. PNM (paranormal mysteries) are allowed as are time travel (romance or otherwise) and sci-fi (again, romance or otherwise.) The operative requirement is that there be something that isn't "normal" for our timeline. Also, at one point in time, there was ONLY fantasy, then there came sci-fi and after that, the different genres that sprang from them just started growing and growing and growing. . . So we tend to be a bit laidback about definitions in this challenge.

The challenge is for a cover picture for each category.
Since we are basing this part of the challenge on pictures, I'm not going to require you to actually read the back of the book/blurb about it to determine what the cover character actually is. So I'm giving it a fairly broad description.
1) Read 3 books with cupids/male angels on the cover. (See, nice and broad--a cute little cherub or a male with wings. Not too hard, yes?)
The rest of the covers should be much easier, so here they are.
2) Read 3 books with a picture of something to do with a wedding on it. This could be anything from a fully dressed bride/groom to a bridal veil/top hat, or anything in between.
3) To salute Cupid's mother, Venus/Aphrodite, read 2 books with pictures of shells on the cover somewhere. It could be a single shell, or a copy of the famous painting Venus on the Halfshell as the cover, or anything else that fits.
4) And finally, to celebrate the vendors who sell all those chocolates/candy and/or flowers, or a restaurant for that romantic meal out, the last 2 books should have a cover with a picture of candy or flowers or even a set up like you would see at a restaurant on it. (For this one, I will also accept a picture of a Chianti bottle with a candle in it to represent that restaurant you love to go out to with that special someone. Even if that "special someone" turns out to be your favourite author's latest book.)
Good luck all. Hope this is clear and not too hard to find.
edit: Ok, the shell thing is hard to find, so I'm going to say--anyone dressed in "classical" garb (you know, the Greek robes look, Minoan, ancient Egyptian or Roman togas.) If you can find cover with pearls that will work too, since the Pearl is a "gemstone" sacred to Venus/Aphrodite.
