OMG..I LOVE Darynda Jones, who wrote the Charley Davidson series. We, as a group, have read book 1
and book 2
. I have read through to book twelve.
I would LOVE to nominate Book 3
and see if anyone else has read her books. This series on audio is SOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!!!!! The reader is amazing and this has to be the only series where I read the book, then re-listen in audio. I am game for book 1 or three, depending on what people want.

I would LOVE to nominate Book 3

Elijah is this your all time favourite author? Or are you just recommending a book to read? We have a few recommendation topics you can look at. But if your just wanting to nominate, all we need is name of the book and the author (not a recommendation link).
Wendy i forgot to mention... shamefully i have never read a christine feehan book!!
Regardless of the BOM result i might start one of her books!

I want to continue a series we started a couple of months ago.. One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress #2)
by Jeaniene Frost

OK this is one of my favorite series. Although it is only a trilogy, it is one of the best. I read it years ago now but would love to do a re-read. I cannot say for certain if she is a "favorite author" as these are the only 3 books I've read by her though she does write under Katheryn Smith (PNR and historical Rom) and Kate Cross/Kady Cross (YA paranormal)
, which is adult UF
Do not let the cover deter you, a great UF with a little romance to boot.

Starcaster by Shana Shaheen
Starcaster
Shana Shaheen
Why did Shana Abe decide to release a new book under a totally different name? It seems like no one even knows it is the same author so very little reviews. Here is her webpage

I didn't go that far into it and really it is still fantasy, scifi YA fantasy. Her others are paranormal historical rom. So I just identified her and it seems that the book has been out 1 year without much review. Needs exposure. Still it is YA and ends on a cliffhanger, so I'm on the fence whether to put it in a TBR. Maybe when book 2 comes out.

I love her work. She has a number of romance paranormal series going. I like them all! THE Dark Series, The Leopard Series, Shadow Riders, Ghostwalkers, Drake Sisters, Sisters of the Heart and her latest series is Torpedo Ink, which is quite gritty, hardbreaking and hard hitting but with a touch of humour. The characters all have some paranormal skills. The last three series all follow on from each other so the characters intertwine at times...a much richer reading experience if started from the beginning..(in my opinion). :)

The next Charlaine Harris Sookie book would be the 2nd as we've read the first. Did you want to nominate it since we have the next Nighthuntress already nominated?

So we want you to nominate a Book from your favorite author. We all have a few. And Unfortunately there are some authors who have multiple series each one as good as the next... well it's going to be difficult nominating one. But try your best, hopefully someone else will nominate the other series. We only get to read one so choose wisely.
As always if we have not previously read the book as a group please nominate Number 1 in the series. But if we have already started it, then go ahead and nominate the next book along in the series we have not read. And buddy reads are always available for those who want to read the rest of the series and chat about it.
Here are the quick guidelines for the BOM in general.
*Please see which books in a series we have started to read and You may nominate the next book in the series.
*If we haven't read the book please nominate the FIRST in the Series. No sense in starting at number 5 when we haven't been introduced to the characters before.
*Please ensure that the book is on the Goodreads Database.
*Please nominate books that have preferably been out for 12 months or more.
This is so books might have the chance of being availible in the library (we support local libraries so they are our preferred option). And we don't want to be a financial burden after all!
But seriously if you want to buy the books that is fine too.
*Please Nominate books that are availible in Print format.
any book that is only available as an ebook will be suggested as a buddy read and not be part of the poll.
*We no DO NOT allow Self Nominations From Authors or their Representatives.
We have an area Devoted to Author Reads as well as Self Promotion. For more information Please Contact a Moderator.
