Someone asked the question at AskReddit: If they made a show called "White Mirror" that was about all the positive aspects of the human/technology relationship, what would be the plot of certain episodes?

This may come off as hopelessly cynical, but I think we can leave the “positive spin” on new technology and its effects to the corporate spin-meisters, who are already on the job. Every new technology is vigorously touted as a techno-marvel which will help people with some disease or disability. Never a mention of how easily it can be weaponized or that it was developed FOR some horrible purpose and funded by sketchy alphabet groups. Or that only the “super-insured” will be able to afford it.
Looking long and hard about the wider possible ramifications of all new tech is the very LEAST we should be doing. Believing that the R&D departments of mega-corporations are devoted to finding new ways to help a poor one-legged veteran or a child with congenital disabilities is not very realistic, despite what they’d like you to believe.

At the time I posted this, I was kinda thrashing around to find topics to post here so I could reboot the group. So I wasn't endorsing anything, just trying to post a topic. Any topic! LOL at me.

I just thought it was amusing that the suggestions went along the lines of 'Somebody orders food using an app and they get more than they paid for'. Yeah, it's dumb, but still funny to me.
