Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Since we all read a wide variety of things and I know a few members have mentioned enjoying giving recommendations I wanted to make a place just for recommendations.

Post here with what you are looking for (genre, plot point, certain types of characters, ect.) and if you see a request you can help with just reply and let the person know the book that would be a perfect match.

You can also post of you finish something that just blew you away and want to share with the group. Authors please no self promotion here.

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Anyone in the group have horror reccomendations featuring creepy children?

Diane (dijeye) I'm not really into the horror genre, but I remember years ago being totally creeped out by Stephen King's Pet Sematary. The kid in that book, Gage.../shudder.

tiffany Vicious by V.E. Schwab is really good and also kinda creepy.

Cyn | 78 comments Only one I can think of that I have read is Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children but I'm not entirely sure it fits the bill - it's YA horror

It has also been a few years since I've read it and don't remember much other than the creepy photos throughout the book lol

Teresa Faliq ☼ (teresa_trilogies) Anyone have any recommendations for sci-fi reads?

Cyn | 78 comments I recommend We Are Legion (We Are Bob) (Bobiverse, #1) by Dennis E. Taylor (the audiobooks are really good too) if you want humor, and Extreme Makeover by Dan Wells

Some recommendations I think you may like:
All Systems Red - Humorous sci-fi novella set in space
The Ear, the Eye and the Arm - YA Sci-fi book set in 2194 in Zimbabwe
Sleeping Giants - first book in a sci-fi series set in modern day on earth. Interesting story telling style.

All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries, #1) by Martha Wells The Ear, the Eye and the Arm by Nancy Farmer Sleeping Giants (Themis Files #1) by Sylvain Neuvel

Chris Miranda | 5 comments I’m interested in all three, but especially All Systems Red.

Dune by Frank Herbert, this is probably my favorite Sci-Fi.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.

Auntie Terror (auntie_terror) | 64 comments I hope I may post this here.

Also: Any further Steampunk recommendations are very welcome! Though that won't help get my TBR under controll...

Nikki ~ The Nocturnal Bookworm (nyxreadsstuff) Haven't read any but after reading the English translations of the summaries I think Aetherhertz and Stadt der verschwundenen Köche sound like the two most interesting :)

lola | 74 comments Does anyone have anything that fits into the paranormal genre for this month but isn't too creepy and is a quick read? This may be a lot...

Here are three short (less than 200 pages) paranormal romance books:

Marine Biology
Justice Calling
Elemental Arcane

Valeria (valea22) | 64 comments The Hunting Ground by Cliff McNish was a good light paranormal read...
If you want some romance and bit more fun read Anna dressed in blood duology by Kendare Blake they are really fun!
