Kaje Harper | 17369 comments The Trevor Project is doing a survey of LGBTQ Youth -

Linked from their FB page - https://www.facebook.com/TheTrevorPro...

To the survey itself - https://thetrevorproject.co1.qualtric...

In the introductory FAQ page, they say:

You are being asked to join a research project from The Trevor Project that will help scientists better understand and help to enact change regarding the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning young people. This project is being done in collaboration with the National Eating Disorders Association, and final information will be shared with them.

The goal of this project is to hear your thoughts about a variety of experiences related to being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or queer (LGBTQ+). In particular, we are trying to understand how many LGBTQ+ youth have had previous thoughts of suicide and eating disorders.

We will ask questions about your sexual and gender identity, previous experience with mental health, how you feel about your health and behaviors you engage in, and support you receive from various groups of people. We hope that with your information, we can better understand how scientists, doctors, parents, and other stakeholders can better serve the population.

if you complete the survey, you will have the option, at survey completion, to be entered into a random drawing for one of 100 $50 Amazon gift cards. If you choose to enter, you will be taken to a completely different survey to provide your contact information, and your name will never be linked to your survey. Winners will be notified at survey close; we estimate this to be late winter or early spring of 2018.

Important: You do not have to enter the drawing to participate in the survey.

I personally trust the Trevor Project, and I believe we all benefit in getting information and data directly from those to whom it matters. This Goodreads group, of course, cannot offer any assurances of privacy beyond those from The Trevor Project. But I wanted to link this and give those inclined a chance to add your opinions and experiences to the data.
