Sheila G (pastthepostlude) I'm doing these one at a time again:

Shadowsong (Wintersong, #2) by S. Jae-Jones - the sequel to Wintersong jumps back into the world of goblins and Liesl's tenuous relationship with the Goblin King. While she attempts to make a career at being a musician, she is pulled back into the underground world as the barrier between the two worlds crumble.

Sheila G (pastthepostlude) The Queen's Rising by Rebecca Ross - a debut novel, this book follows the main character Brienna, who is an arden at an elite home where girls are taught in one of five disciplines -- art, music, dramatics, wit, and knowledge -- in order to become a master. After being trained for seven years, the girls meet possible patrons, who will hire/adopt them for their abilities. However, Brienna wasn't supposed to have been admitted into Magnalia in the first place. When she begins to have visions of memories from her ancestors, she realizes that there is more to her obscure family history than she ever knew.

(Yes, there is a slow-burn romance involved, so it fits in the theme).

Wow, you guys are prepared! I can't say I found anything with romance, per se, but the one I read actually sort of fit the theme, cause there was mention of love in it :D

Mizgot by Helric

But it sucked.

Then I also read this one, and it's like... About sort of loving your neighbour? xD about taking care of elders.

We Care For You by Paul Kitcatt

But it was also not a miracle!

So either I'm in a slump, or maybe I just don't have good ARCs currently :D

Sheila G (pastthepostlude) My next ARC is the third installment in The Hundredth Queen trilogy:
The Rogue Queen (The Hundredth Queen, #3) by Emily R. King
(I'm still reading The Fire Queen). Kalinda has defeated all odds; becoming the hundredth queen, winning a death tournament, and even an encounter with a demon. Now, her biggest foe is facing her past, and a demon disguised as her late and evil husband, Rajah Tarek.

There's a romance between Kalinda and a character named Deven who is a military personnel (so it counts, right :P)
