I just picked up Parable of a Sower by Octavia Butler. And am so excited to jump in. What are you all reading to start off this month?

Hey Russell, because one of my 2018 goals is reading more book by local author, so I'm currently read Indonesian book "Tuhan Tidak Makan Ikan" (in english: God Doesn't Eat Fish). It's comedy (obviously). And after that I'm going to read I Hear Your Voice and An Unseen Attraction.

Trying to keep to my three-books-a-month goal this year:

Nonfiction - Secrecy World: Inside the Panama Papers Investigation of Illicit Money Networks and the Global Elite

Fiction -The Woman in the Window

Classic - Slaughterhouse-Five

Currently Reading Three Things About Elsie by Joanna Cannon and a short story collection Dinosaurs on Other Planets by Danielle McLaughlin and loving both.

I've been reading John Rechy's City of Night . Holy smokes, it is so good! I should be done in a day or so, but I haven't planned my follow up...

I am finishing listening to Truevine by Beth Macy and start This Will Be My Undoing by Morgan Jerkins, both are really good!

I'm reading The One-Way Bridge.
I've also got Defeating Depression on my desk.... cause I've been feeling pretty blah lately.

I'm currently reading The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead.

This is going to be Classics month for me. I've been reading "Sense and Sensibility".

I'm currently reading the March trilogy with my daughter, Sing, Unburied, Sing with a book club, and The Music Shop.

I finished The Underground Railroad (so good!) and I'm now reading The Chalk Man by C.J. Tudor.

Did you see that The Changeling is on the list of finalists for the PEN/ Jean Stein award- also listed is Kunzru’s White Tears which was a 5 star read for me earlier in January- great list!

I loved White Tears too!

I recently finished The Power, which I did not enjoy and tried reading Six Four but DNFed after the first few pages as I could tell it wasn't going to be for me.

I also recently finished The Three-Body Problem, which I loved and plan on continuing with the series, and am currently reading Killers of the Flower Moon, which I am enjoying so far.

Finished The Chalk Man and am now reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie.

I have finished The Nix by Nathan Hill and The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin in the last week. I currently have The Private Lives of the Tudors by Tracy Borman and I Can't Breathe: A Killing on Bay Street by Matt Taibbi on the go. I want to get to a reread of The God of Small Things next.

I have been in a bit of a funk & a reading slump, but I just started The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and am going to start The Beginning of the World in the Middle of the Night by Jen Campbell.

I finished The Murder of Roger Ackroyd (Agatha Christie) and am now reading Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

I'm currently reading The Old Man and the Sea and then I'll read Christodora on my Kindle and after I finish my first book, I'll pick up The Fifth Season

I just finished "The Music Shop" which I enjoyed.

I’m in the middle of The Color Purple. Then I’m reading Between the World and Me

I’m currently reading Indelible by Karin Slaughter. It’s book #4 of the Grant County Series. The plan is to finish this series and move over to the Will Trent series, which I’ve already read book 1 and 2.

Currently reading Jane Austen's Mansfield Park and just re-read The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie.

Just started Elif Bautman’s The Idiot prepping for the TOB!
