Since I loved the first book in the Firebird series by Claudia Grey, I had to keep going!

The second book is called Ten Thousand Skies Above You:

The second book does not disappoint! It has it all: science stuff, romance, strange new worlds (aka parallel dimensions), a multi-layered villains, plot twists, ...

I think I'll count Whichwood by Tahereh Mafi as my book for this task. It is book two in the Furthermore series (I read book one in October of 2017, I think). :-)

I finally finished The Serpent's Shadow by Rick Riordan, the third and final book in the Kane chronicles. I liked the book, I just hate stuff ending which is why it took me so long to finish this book. Although I prefer the Percy Jackson / Heroes of Olympus series, I still thought the Kane chronicles are really good. Riordan just writes really good YA books :)
