Interesting! I've gone to check it out and the synopsis does sound interesting, especially with the enormous diamond ^-^

And you've posted your TBR already Keriann lol. I read Crocodile in the Sandbank last year I think, and I really enjoyed it. I have several of her books and really should get around to them.

Cool. I believe one of our hosts, Laura from mom2triplets04, also loves books about WWII. Will be looking forward to hearing what you think of this book when you're done ^-^

That's awesome Matt! Remember, NEW can be interpreted any way you want, so feel free to get creative on that one ^-^

For this challenge, I shall be reading a book set in a historical era which I adore: The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Dame Agatha Christie,

The Invention of MurderThe Invention of Murder: How the Victorians Revelled in Death and Detection and Created Modern Crime, by Judith Flanders

That book sounds fascinating, Delia! Even though it's non-fiction, it deals with murders and probably how the cases were solved. I'd consider that part of unraveling a mystery, so go for it!

It's great that we have quite a few participants planning on Agatha Christie books!

Glad I could help, haha!

Hi Naomi! I've not heard of these books. Will be interested in your thoughts on the one you decide on ^-^

Sorry I can't help on this one! I have not yet read any of the Sherlock Holmes besides The Hound of the Baskervilles, but that was in school. Maybe one of our other hosts could recommend one?

A few of our members are reading a Sherlock Holmes novel this year! I believe Elizabeth (the co-creator) is reading A Study in Scarlet. I'm not one to skip around in series, so that would be the one I would go for too if I was going to read Sherlock Holmes in this round ^-^

Awesome you're reading a sequel! I find myself always reading first books in series and enjoy them, but I never get to the following books. I need to work on that this year ^-^

I gave it four stars.

I love your interpretation of "Historical."

For this challenge, I ended up reading three different titles that qualify. They all met challenges in my Library Bingo challenge that I was finishing up earlier in the month.
I listened to all 3 of them on Hoopla audio. I also read Mysterious Affair at Styles also because of Louise The BigHaired Bookworm and her new Agatha Christie book club.
The other two were the first two Sherlock Holmes books. I had not read any of these previously. I enjoyed Study in Scarlet much more that Sign of Four. Now I need to watch the first couple of episodes of Sherlock on Netflix.
