_Songs of the Humpback Whale_ : Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis - Husband punches wife. Wife ran away with daughter. Daughter survived a plane crash. Wife hits husband, wife and daughter, again, runs away.
First and foremost, Songs of the Humpback Whale is Picoult’s very first novel, so that might be the reason why the book wasn’t great.

Here's another good one (for _Firestarter_ by Stephen King):
Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis:
What can Charlie McGee do with fire when she really gets mad?
BELOW WERE FOUND IN JOY'S GOODREADS GROUP.
==============================================
BOOK: Watership Down by Richard Adams
Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis: "It's about bunnies."
===========================================
Not all of them are as funny as the one I posted. For example, the Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis for Leaving Time (by Jodi Picoult) is:
"An ode to motherhood in all its forms -– the good, bad and the ugly."
=================================================
_Love in the Time of Cholera_. They call it a "Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis". See it below:
"Boy meets girl. Girl rejects boy. Boy stays obsessed with girl through 622 affairs and 50+ years."] LOL
==============================================
Anna Karenina - "Anna Karenina has an affair with a hot and cute officer, Count Vronsky."
===============================================
At the page about _The Lacuna_, it reads as follows with 4 "ridiculous" synopses:
_The Lacuna_
- H Shepherd befriends Frida Kahlo, escapes Trotsky's assasination, endures WW II, and outsmarts McCarthy's Red Scare
- A man of two countries works for Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and Leo Trotsky as a cook/secretary and becomes a writer.
- Dear Diary: Military school dropout bums around Mexico then proves he is an American at heart.
- Meet ALL the famous historical Mexicans.
==============================================

Anyway, I've tried my best to capture what I could and am posting it here for the sake of humor.
If you can think of any other "RIDICULOUSLY SIMPLIFIED SYNOPSES", feel free to post them here.
