I found the following "RIDICULOUSLY SIMPLIFIED SYNOPSES" online. The idea began at a website called Shelfari.com. It eventually got merged with Goodreads.

Anyway, I've tried my best to capture what I could and am posting it here for the sake of humor.

_Songs of the Humpback Whale_ : Ridiculously Simplified Synopsis - Husband punches wife. Wife ran away with daughter. Daughter survived a plane crash. Wife hits husband, wife and daughter, again, runs away.
First and foremost, Songs of the Humpback Whale is Picoult’s very first novel, so that might be the reason why the book wasn’t great.

Funny, although "Waiting For Godot" is actually spot on & far better than the original where it's just a waste of time getting there.

I especially liked "Watership Down," Yes, it is about bunnies.
