2. Arthur Dent from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as I too feel clueless in many social situations.
Dr. Frankenstein, not so much because of the whole mad scientist thing, but because I used to often put my work and studies before people (though it is usually unintentional, see cluelessness of Dent above)
Johannes Cabal, again, not because of the mad science (and also necromancy) thing, but because I tend to make sarcastic and flippant remarks without thinking about it... though I'm trying to stop that. :)
3. Erg... most books I read, I honestly wouldn't want to live there (too much horror and darker fantasy). Perhaps Pratchett's Discworld...
4. Again, a bit too much danger involved in the lives of the characters I read about. Perhaps Dr. Watson (of Sherlock Holmes fame), that way I could be involved in amazing stories, be the teller of the tales, but without the pressure of solving some of the crimes that left me baffled when I read them.
5. HASTINGS! I love Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot novels (and am currently trying to review all the books in order), but if you check out my reviews I will pretty much always comment on the books that Hastings is involved in, about he does his best to ruin the stories with his stupidity.
6. Depends on the time period of my life. College years would have been "Have a Cigar" by Pink Floyd (and I mean the lyrics of that song as sarcastically as Pink Floyd did. To say my college years were unpleasant and I was extremely pessimistic and jaded would be an understatement).
The years after college until the last two or three would have been been "I Don't Wanna Grow Up" by Tom Waits.
Any more probably a fairly serine piece of classical music... with the occasional electric guitar solo just to keep things interesting. :D
And what about you? You did not answer your own questions! How are we to get to know you?!? :P

I mean "I don't know, I didn't listen!" :D that quote alone explains so much for me.
And detectives - I was so into them in middle school! I still like them, but the closest thing to a detective story I've read recently (in the last decade) was "The Crew" by Dougie Brimson. Yet just the other week we discussed the possibility of writing a detective story with my friend, and agreed that it's twice as hard as writing anything else, because as soon as you work out the details you're over the story. That's the big dilemma).
Anyway, I'm still working on mine, because well, I've spent most of my life asking questions, and when I have to answer them I just get lost in possibilities)!

1. An easy pick would be Dostoevsky, everyone knows him. But I’ll go ahead and name “Snowstorm” by Pushkin. For many reasons: the story, the music by G.Sviridov (which I recommend to anyone who would ever consider listening - Troika is my favorite), the strange and confusing tale that it is.
2. Ah, my favorite one: Meursault (“Stranger”) because sometimes I lack compassion and go into a full watcher mode. Another one is Amy March — remember how shallow and obsessed with her flat nose she was? Well I do that from time to time. And on bad days I relate to the Hulk, because smash.
3. I’d like to live in the City which ironically was our own creation, and it is everything that I’d love to see around me. Believe me, I’m all about Earth-616 and Galaxy far far away but I also admire life way too much to run around with superheroes or the sith.
4. I have a soft spot for 20-s, yet I wouldn’t dare stick my nose there — too much drama. When I was a kid though, and read all things fantasy, I always thought “If I was the hero in *insert any book* I’d just refuse the quest and stay home where my life is calm”. Can you imagine “The Hobbit” starring me? “Nah, thanks, I’m good here”. I also hated Scarlett O’Hara’s actions, still pissed about “The good wives”, and don’t understand why Anne had to be such an itch. So if I was in their skin at least for a day, I’d go ahead and make things right!)
5. Oh that would be miss O’Hara indeed.
6. Okay, tough one. “Through Oblivion” by In Flames. Because “I dare to believe that I have wings”. : ) But that’s today. Tomorrow it could be anything else!)
huh. all of these are tough.

1. This one is tricky. I have so many books that I love. But if this is a favorite book from a favorite place, I would have to say the Twelth Enchantment by David Liss at this point. It takes place in Northern Europe, but it's set to the past (can't exatcly know the year. All I know that the book was historical fiction).
2. Three characters that I can relate to are Henrietta Howel from Kingdom on Fire series, Lucy Derrick from The Twelth Enchantment, and Zoe from Dead Set. All three have been through so much, feeling different and an outcast. But I feel like I can relate to Zoe so far, because she always go to dreams to escape from reality, which I, on thr other hand, read or write to escape reality.
3. A fictional world, huh? I would try any.
4. I would like to be like Shahzrad (can't spell it right) from The Wrath of the Dawn series. I wish to have that kind of courage like she does.
5. I feel like I have two that I hate, and they're both from the same series. But if you want me to tell, then I guess I can go with the one that is most really annoying and that happens to be Jace from The Mortal Instruments series. It's just that he does not man up and expects Clary to help him from despair all the time. Plus, he's so clingy. I get it, he has a confused past and he's been too hard on himself, but ugh! Sorry, if I offend anyone. That is just my opinion.
6. If I have my own book, my own soundtrack of my life would be "Chicago" by Michael Jackson.
Cool, simi!! Giys, feel free to invite people to the group and post new topics.

Ugh Draco - I did not like that kid. Would smack him for sure.

You're a writer too! This is amazing :)
I'd love to give your story a read!) I mean it's one thing to get to know people via questionaries, but it's a whole other deal to do it through a book!

Well, as I live with an author I'll put his first!
Mere Anarchy by my boyfriend <3
Otherwise Eversong is written by a fairly local author, which was pretty good. I've not read the rest yet.
2. Three characters you can relate to the most (and why):
- Aphrodite (House of Night) cos she is so damaged. She has walls miles high all around her, and so desperately wants to let people in but doesn't really remember how to anymore so she continues to be cold and hostile, until she eventually becomes part of someone's inner circle. It's such a good feeling to be let in, but to still feel worried about being on the outside again.
- Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) she's a bit strange, but she doesn't care. She's happy in her own company and is super quirky. Incredibly loyal and smarter than she lets on.
- Alice - She cries and eats and hopes everything will be ok (this one is a joke... Kinda...)
3. A fictional world you'd move to tomorrow if you could:
I would probably pick one of Richard's RPG settings (Erdath or Nightfalls) but if it had to be a book... I'd choose Alagaesia.
4. Which character's life would you like to live (you don't have to do exactly what they did, you are free to make your own choices)?:
Can I choose three again? Cos I'm gonna!
- Zooey Redbird (House of Night) to be a chosen favourite of your Goddess... I can't think of anything better. Oh and the control of the Elements too!
- Rose (Vampire Academy) cos Dimitri. That's the main reason!
- Arya (Inheritance Cycle) because being an Elf in a land with dragons seems sweet!
5. Which character you hate so much you want to smack them with a book? (Not judging choices here, just interested):
I hate few characters, but from recent reading I deffo do not like Freya and Tamlin. I mean there are others, but they're the most recent.
6. Soundtrack to the book that is your life:
A good soundtrack has many different songs... The artists that would feature heavily in mine would be Evanescence, Sleigh Bells and Fall Out Boy, along with Indiana, Britney and Kitten.

Well, as I live with an author I'll put his first!
Mere Anarchy by my boyfriend <3
Otherwise [book:Eversong|29089998..."
I cornered myself with the "world from a book" too). I mean if I could choose any place at all, from movies, games, books, tv or comics, I'd probably go with San Mishuno from Sims 4. Once you get over the ghosts and Grim Reaper, it's pretty safe out there. Even though I'm a fan of Arcadia and Stark from Dreamfall, I'd like to have a place on Coruscant, I'd love to visit Wakanda for sure, and Shi'ar. But still, those places are messy).

I am living in kuwait soo most of the books from here are in arabic which I dont clearly understand considering the fact that i am expat but if it is ok to talk about the international books we get here my favourite author is Rick Riordian
2. Three characters you can relate to the most (and why):
something I really dont want to talk about, if its ok.
3. A fictional world you'd move to tomorrow if you could:
the kingdom od galbatorix from the book Eragon
4. Which character's life would you like to live (you don't have to do exactly what they did, you are free to make your own choices)?
the life of Daisy from the book Taken By Love is something i have always fantasized about. Being a doctor and helping out in a community that is not a concrete jungle and has some green life to it is my dream life.
5. Which character you hate so much you want to smack them with a book? (Not judging choices here, just interested).
the Spaniard Rodrigo in Assassin's Creed Rennaissance
6. Soundtrack to the book that is your life.
havent heard one before
i am sorry i am answering like a robot here but i am still getting used to the idea of social sited like these. peomise i'll try to connect more next time

And, since I know how hard it is to "tell about yourself", let's do book questions :)
1. Your favorite book by an author from your place of living;
2. Three characters you can relate to the most (and why);
3. A fictional world you'd move to tomorrow if you could.
4. Which character's life would you like to live (you don't have to do exactly what they did, you are free to make your own choices)?
5. Which character you hate so much you want to smack them with a book? (Not judging choices here, just interested).
6. Soundtrack to the book that is your life.
I hope you have fun answering these ;) and nice to meet you all!
