If anyone was curious here is the info on almost all of the species that live on each world or planet.

Species:

Fire Tasters (Fire World)~
Not to be confused with a Dragon from Dragon Planet, Fire Tasters are an apparently animal-like sentient species from Fire World. They survive by burning Walking Flowers alive an ingesting their essential nutrients from the smoke. At first the souls did not realize that the Walking Flowers were also sentient beings, but when they did they transported Spiders to help resolve the issue. In the meantime they have so far been able to remove the brutality such as the 'burning alive' portion.

Walking Flowers (Fire World)~
Not to be confused with the Flowers from Planet of the Flowers, Walking Flowers are a sentient plant-like life-form from Fire World.
Walking flowers are insinuated to be similar to Earth flowers except for the fact that they are not stationary.
Their bodies contain vital nutrients which Fire-Tasters need to survive.
When the problem of having to burn them alive and kill them for nutrients is solved, the souls will start occupying the bodies of the Walking Flowers as well.
Walking Flowers were the first extraterrestrials to have a predator mentioned in The Host.
Burns Living Flowers takes his name from the Fire-Taster practice of incinerating Walking Flowers and ingesting the produced smoke for vital nutrients.

Flowers (Flower Planet)~
Not to be confused with the Walking Flowers from Fire World, Flowers are a sentient plantlike (chlorophyll-based) life-form from Flower Planet (alternately known as Planet of the Flowers).
It is insinuated that Flowers are similar to the Earth plants from which they took their name in English. They would necessarily have to be larger than Souls and have something akin to a brain, because they were assimilated by the Souls. They would also have to be able to communicate by some means because they give one another names and form friendships. They have a way of seeing (as proven when Petals Open to the Moon commented that the rosy colors of an Earth-sunset made her think of a beautiful Flower friend of hers) but can't smell (Wanderer was a flower at some point, but a sense of smell was something she first experienced as a human).
There seem to be different varieties with biological variations, such as Upside-down Flowers* and Night Flowers.
Flowers synthesize their food via photosynthesis.
Flowers inhabit the Island and Continent on Flower Planet.
Examples of names translated from Flower Language: Petals Open to the Moon (a name typical of a Night Flower), Leaves Above (an name typical of an Upside-down Flower)*, Faces Sunward, etc.
A translation of a common greeting and farewell on Flower Planet is: "Brightest sun, longest day."
Souls Known To Have Used Flowers As Hosts.
Wanderer spent a term as a flower. She also had a student from her time as an honorary professor named Faces Sunward*.
Petals Open to the Moon was a Night Flower and took her Earth name from this time. She also had a friend who was a beautiful Flower and was reminded of this friend when she looked at the rosy colors of an Earth sunset (this friend's name had something to do with ruffles).
A Seeker named Hank once worked with another Seeker (when they pulled Wanda over due to speeding) whose mate was a former Upside-down Flower (thought to be a variety of Flower).
Pet mentions a friend of hers named Ruffles and More Ruffles who lived with her on the Planet of the Flowers.
Cerulean is an assistant to Healer Knits Fire, and Wanderer believes she is from the Planet of the Flowers.
When The Seeker was removed from Lacey's body, she was sent to the Planet of the Flowers, and will wake up in a Flower body.

Bears (Mists Planet)~
The Bears are an animal-like sentient species found on the Mists Planet.
They are supposed to have be quite similar to mammals. An adult bear has about the mass of a type of buffalo. They are warm blooded and have fur. They have multiple hearts and bleed out quite quickly if wounded severely. They have a warm pouch for egg incubation. Their hands are double-jointed, they can curl them on both sides. One side is soft but the other is razor-sharp and often used for cutting ice.
They can see different range of colors.
They have emotions similar to humans. Particularly a need for societal interaction and creativity.
They inhabit the cold Mists Planet.
Their cities are made of ice sculptures and they make it by cutting the ice into various shapes like those they've imagined or dreamed. One famous ice-sculptor was Glitter Weaver.t
Names translated from Bear include: Lives in the Stars, Rides the Beast, Sunlight Passing Through the Ice, Glitter Weaver, Harness Light, Glass Spires, etc.
One saying in Bear goes something like: "Cross one too many ice-fields and wind up a Claw Beast's lunch." (The saying is said to sound better in Bear.)
Wanderer spent a term as a Bear and was known as "Lives in the Stars" (her preferred Bear name) and Rides the Beast (a name for which she showed some frustration though it was used sort of admiringly).
Sunlight Passing Through the Ice spent 5 lifeterms as a Bear before coming to Earth and being inserted into Jodi's body.
Wanderer had a friend during her time with the Bears named Harness Light. The two of them also once made use of a guide using a Bear host to try and cross an ice-field safely (though unsuccessfully).

Claw Beasts (Mists Planet)~
Claw Beasts are a non-sentient animal-like life-form from Mists Planet and are a natural predator of Bears. They often set traps for bears by digging pits and then putt themselves in snow as a trap. Claw beasts are slower than Bears and have stone like pincers. there appearance was there white fur and much bigger then bears.

Bats (Singing World)~
Bats are extraterrestrial sapient organisms native to the Singing World (alternately known as Blind World or Planet of the Bats)
Judging from their name, their appearance are similar to the members of the order chiroptera, this similarity is due to convergent evolution. They are blind and unable to smell. They navigate their surroundings via echolocation, similar to dolphins and the members of chiroptera. They are notable for constantly singing melodiously.
Bats inhabit the external part of Singing World
The Bats' singing is an integral part of their life. When a friend or loved one dies they mourn them by not singing apparently until the psychological or emotional pain from not singing exceeds the pain of losing the cherished person(s).
Examples of names translated from Bat language: Racing Song, Sings the Egg Song, Spiraling Upward Harmony, Word Keeper, Summer Song.
Wanderer spent a term as a Bat. Though she doesn't enjoy being blind she apparently still appreciates their musical ability.
Wanderer also had a friend called Spiraling Upward Harmony who died the final death as a Bat due to an accident involving a Singing World tree. They were unable to extract him from his host in time.
Summer Song, a Healer Soul had a Bat host before coming to Earth and taking over Candy's body. Summer Song was extracted from Candy's body and sent to a faraway planet.
Racing Song, later Kevin, had a Bat host before coming to Earth as his second life. His first host was an adult male who knew about the souls. He, like Melanie, refused to disappear, and even was able to regain some control of the body. After he tried to cut the soul out of his body ( an impossible thing to do), the soul was relocated into a child's body so there would be no chance of resistance. Kevin's first host was disposed of, deemed in poor repair and not a good candidate for reuse.
A Bat was Wanderer's host on her seventh planet.
Wanderer stated that she liked the Bats more than the other planets, and almost stayed there, but did not enjoy being blind.

Dragons (Dragon Planet)~
Not to be confused with the Fire-Tasters from Fire World, Dragons are an animal-like sentient life-form from Dragon Planet.
It is said that Dragons are similar to the mythical creatures from Earth folklore from which they take their English name. They would necessarily have to be larger than Souls and have something akin to a brain, because they were assimilated by the Souls. Though they cannot breath fire like their namesakes traditionally can, they are able to spew acid from their mouths in some way. Their bodies may be specially suited to live in the realm in which they move (which's atmosphere has a higher viscosity than Earth air) on their planet.
Dragons live in a realm (with an atmosphere that has a higher viscosity than Earth air) on Dragon Planet.
Wanderer apparently spent a lifetime as a Dragon.

Spiders (Spider World)~
Spiders are about the mass of a cow but are shorter and leaner. They are not hairy, but rather scaly. They have several limbs (four to each segment of their segmented body), which apparently have hands with twelve strong fingers each. Their fingers have six joints and are strong and slender as steel threads and capable of the most complex procedures. Their twelve eyes (one at each place where a limb and the main body meet), which don't see much color, are protected by thick eyelashes comparable to steel wool (though eyelids are absent). Their most note-worthy trait however are their three brains which cause them to have apparently high intelligence and high problem-solving abilities. Spiders are generally stronger than humans.
They age and have a lifespan shorter even than a human's (Spiders have the shortest lifespan of any creature the Souls have come across).
However, they do reproduce very quickly, which is the chief reason the planet is still available for settling. Their species was one of the first the Souls came across in their spread across the universe.
The Spiders apparently thought of new knowledge above many other things, as they welcomed the insight the Souls brought - even though it cost them their consciousness. However they rarely came up with a problem they were curious enough to solve for themselves. They can only barely comprehend emotion and color.
The Spiders' homeworld is cold and gray.
Wanderer spent a term in a Spider body. She however didn't find it to her liking and departed as soon as she completed the body's short life-span.
When Wanderer last heard news of Fire World, Spider bodies were on their way to arriving to help solve the conundrum of finding a dietary replacement for Fire-Tasters so that they no longer have to eat the sentient Walking Flowers (Fire-Tasters' vital prey).

See Weeds (See Weeds world)~
The See Weeds (a pun on see and sea weeds) alternately known as Sea Weeds are a sentient plant-like life-form.
It is insinuated that See Weeds are similar to the Earth plant-like life-form from which they derive their name in English. They would necessarily have to be larger than Souls and have something akin to a brain, because they were assimilated by the Souls.
They are able to communicate mentally through their interconnections to other See Weeds.
Their primary sense is sight and each See Weed has many eyes.
They absorb nutrients from soil.
The See Weed's planet is entirely covered by water.
Wanderer spent a lifeterm as a See Weed before she came to Earth.
When the souls first occupied the See Weed's planet, the Seekers miscalculated how far the See Weeds were willing to go to escape them. They started inserting souls before they had enough for a complete assimilation. The See Weeds could not actually run, so they committed suicide. They curled their leaves from the sun and died before they could be used as hosts. In the end, only one of the two See Weed forest were inhabited by souls.

Dolphins (Dolphins Planet)~
Dolphins are an animal-like sentient species. The souls have started to take over and use their bodies as hosts.
The dolphin's natural terrain is water and their bodies are most likely suited to it. Dolphins in fact resemble earth dragonflies than they do earth dolphins.
They have three sexes.
The dolphin's planet is rather far away from Earth as it was one of the planets which was available to Sunny, who (had she chosen to go) would have had to travel so far that all of the community would have been dead by the time she woke up there.
It is one of the few planets that Wanda/Wanderer has not lived in as news of it's opening for assimilation reached her apparently when she had already arrived on Earth.
