If you have thought crime noir stories always revolve around self-destructive out-of-work detectives and femme fatales, think again - here's a story involving a supposedly decent insurance agent (!) with a said femme fatale. The novel is a fascinating cautionary tale, keeping the reader constantly on the edge of the seat. The movie, Billy Wilder's Double Indemnity (1944), whose screenplay was written by another brilliant crime noir writer, Raymond Chandler, was an equally exciting enterprise.

As usual, your impressions and thoughts about the story and the movie are more than welcome :)

Blueberry (blueberry1) Sounds good. I added it to my tbr.
