Lars attempts to hurt Sarah. Do you believe he would have killed her without Mrs. Ellsworth’s intervention?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments Yep, I think Sarah would have died if Mrs. Ellsworth hadn't stopped him.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Ditto. I don't think Sarah would've been able to fight him off for long. And I loved that Mrs. Elworth and her frying pan came to the rescue.

She was completely overpowered, though she gave him a good fight. Go Mrs. Elsworth!!!

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I was very glad to see Mrs. Ellsworth as a defender of her neighbor!
In such a dire situation, there was a smile on my face with that frying pan.

Did you at first think it was Frank? Somehow I knew it might be Mrs. Elsworth.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Any other book it would've been Frank to the rescue...which is what makes it that much better that it was Mrs. Ellworth instead. And she was prepared to hit him again to keep him from regaining consciousness before the police arrived. lol

Exactly, Veronica! I was thrilled when it wasn’t Frank and was Mrs. E.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Love Mrs. Ellsworth and her frying pan!
