Filipe Mafagafo Hello,

I'm struggling to grasp the whole meaning of a passage in the book, I read very well in English but the style in these fictional memoirs is making me work my brain really hard! :)

In chapter 6, Barry writes:
"Not to say that Lige Magen and the rest weren't broken-backed moaning clap-ridden drunken loons betimes."

I'm struggling to find the meaning of those descriptions, what you guys think ?

Thnaks! o/

Onion Budgie Here's the line made a bit clearer:

"Not to say that Lige Maden and the rest weren't unfit, moaning, gonorrhea-suffering, drunken lunatics, occasionally."

:)
