It's time to mark your calendars for our next quarterly read-a-thon! It will take place Friday March 2nd at 12.01am and continue until Sunday March 4th at 11.59pm in your local time zone - 3 full days :)

We read 20,093 pages last quarterly Read-a-thon so let's see if we can KNOCK THAT FIGURE OUT OF THE PARK!

Me too, although its apparently our wedding anniversary on Saturday. No plans yet, but we may drive up to see this natural wonder! Lot's of reading time in the car or bus.

It does Brenda, my only issue is that the temperatures are so cold there at the moment and Monday the 5th is predicted to be an overnight low of -3. Brrr. I'm only going because its something that we really should do before we leave this part of Turkey and head west in about 3 weeks!!! There better be a big open fire at our hotel!

Oh gosh! You'd better rug up! But like you say - you may never get back there again so a perfect time to check it out :)

Whatever you do, DON'T leave Turkey without seeing it. I was there almost 5 years ago now & it was one of the highlights of the whole trip. Such a unique, inspiring landscape. I was there in the middle of their summer & would love to go back during the colder months to see what it is like then.

Ah, I was just thinking about the Read-a-thon, and marking off that weekend in my diary...delighted to participate. At the moment I have so many books competing for my attention, I just want to stay quiet, ignore the outside world, and read, read, read.

Thanks Jacm, we will definitely go and I admit that visiting these locations off season without the hordes is a great way to experience them!

I'm in, at this stage I have no plans for next weekend except school planning, so nothing should stop me getting a fair chunk of reading done! Looking forward to it! :)

Thanks Brenda. We are going to Paynesville for the weekend. (About a 4 hour drive) There is a wooden boat rally on and my partner is into that sort of thing. But sadly I'll have to put my darling old Gypsy into the boarding kennel. I'll will miss her ever so much 🐾🐾😞😞

I've got some serious study to knock over this weekend so might only get a couple of hundred pages of novel reading in, but will try my best.

My DH has some notions about an autumn tidy up in the garden this weekend, so we'll have to see about that!
