I didn't like it. I think Helen is a better character. First of all, she must have known her husband's character. Besides, I hated it when she let out Sir Henry's secret. What about you?

Phillipa seemed immature and worried about what others thought. I disliked how strongly she pressured her husband, and how she belittled him.
On the other hand, I thought that Sir Henry should have told Phillipa about (view spoiler)

I totally agree with you.

* It takes place in Dreymarsh, a fictional place, in England during World War.
* And starts with the residents discovering a German zeppelin.
* Bertram Maderstrom (Hamar Lessingham), the zeppelin's passenger, has a reason for visiting Mainsail Haul which is the residence of Sir Henry Cranston.
* His reason is to hand deliver letters from Major Richard to his sister, Philippa (Sir Henry's wife) and his fiancée, Helen. But is that really the only real reason?
* And why does Sir Henry insist on his fishing excursions instead of joining the war?
The story started very well. But, I agree with Lanelle, the romance part spoiled the story. I don't see why it was included, except maybe to lengthen the plot. The ending was nice but (view spoiler)[still proves that the romance part is pointless. I hate it when someone uses the feeling of others to make the spouse jealous. (hide spoiler)] Anyway, it was a quick read. And, it reminded of The Scarlet Pimpernel. 😁
