No rules on genre in this one, so sure thing.

Looks like you are enjoying Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. I have a bunch of her books but have put them off.

Sana Zameer (sanazameer) I've enjoyed Mimi's Happy Pants and Accidently Yours series. I recommend her if you enjoy batshit crazy characters and inappropriate humor :))

I do, definitely. I have some of the Accidentally series so will move that back up. I'll put it into my humor folder.

Sana Zameer (sanazameer) March Mini Challenge : Completed

Loved the Immortal Matchmaker series but I'm not sure if I'll continue the Crissy MacMullen Series. Usually don't like cozy mysteries.

I got an Italy and betrayal for the Ides of March "et tu brutus"

I've definitely moved the accidentally forward up. I'll let you know.

Sana Zameer (sanazameer) So I ended up reading another book that starts in Ireland, by an Irish author. Hearts of Fire (Hearts, #2) by L.H. Cosway . I loved the first book in the Heart Series Six of Hearts (Hearts, #1) by L.H. Cosway but was sorely disappointed in this one.

Double Irish yea.

I didn't get anymore read at the end of the month, reading funk and vacation. So my mojo for reading went down the drain. Sometimes my vacations are reading times but even though I had time, I didn't have inspiration. Since I was gone the end of the month, back yesterday, I didn't get an April challenge. I was thinking of putting a late quarter challenge for April, May and June.

Whatever you plan, I'm in.

Hope you enjoyed your vacation. Somehow I ended up reading a lot of two, three stars books and nearly fall into a reading slump. Ended up clearing away a few series from my tbr pile.

I'm stubborn and don't quit a series that I used to like or a book that I know an author and just hope. I end up reading on, really slowly and it stops everything. I need to learn to let it go. But... then something surprises me and I'm like, "wow, if I had pushed through I would have never..."

So, I disliked the first of Dohner's Cyborg series and was recommended the 2nd. I decided to push through as I loved New Species, I was glad I did as I like it just as much just not the first one, Flint something. That is an erotic scifi. Then there is Kate Daniels, which many consider one of the best UF series ever. I started that book 3 times! in a 3 year period! and finally one of my friends talked me into pushing through it. Halfway through it had a total turn around and hooked me. I took a star off for the slow start though today since I know the world I love rereading the first book. I would have hated missing the series but on the positive, there were several more book to read by the time I started reading the series.

How do we decide which ones to give up on? It is a conundrum for me and I end up getting into a stalemate about 2 times a year due to my stubborn refusal to put down some book or another. hmm... This time 10 days with no books finished. That is really bad for me as I'm a every other day usually and averaged the last couple of years 2 out of 3 days having a book finished.
