What did you think of it? Favorite or least favorite characters? Favorite or least favorite part? Will you read the next one?

Maartje De Groot | 69 comments I’ll try to read this one this month.

I'm very much looking forward to what you guys think of this one! It's in a past box bundle that is available for purchase on OwlCrate, and I am definitely considering ordering it!

Jean | 12 comments This book! Wait for meeee. I'm still on The Invisible Library (the March BOTM for another club) and buddy reading Senlin Ascends but I'll get on this one soon! Oh, and there's Children of Blood and Bone and two others debuting on Mar 6...I might be over-committed on books. >.<

Liz (lookingstrongjohn) I couldn’t believe how much I loved this gorgeous book!! I was immediately invested and loved all the characters (except for the bloody duke of course and his terrible father) that jab in the letter at the end killed me haha

James | 1 comments I liked this book as well. I gave a quick talk about it for my Young Adults and the Public Library class.
It's a different kind of historical romance novel. there are some anachronisms that speak well for the modern audience (understanding of racism, being gay) otherwise the history is intact.
Romance, including a sweet gay romance, pirates, adventure, exploration of privilege, abuse, racism, sexism... Plenty to think about and still a great escape.

Denise (witchycraftygal) I loved taking this rollicking journey with Monty, Percy and Felicity! Monty is kind of a mess, but what an endearing and funny mess he is.

I am looking forward to meeting Mackenzie Lee, when she is at my local bookstore later this month for a signing of her BADASS BROADS release.

Pemberley (pemberleyreads) I was switching between audiobook and physical but dang! That book has be smiling like a dork! So great and the audio book is so fun to listen to, if you get a chance this month, give it a try :)

Kate (katespofford) I loved this book! Monty was hard to like, but then I ended up liking him. Like he's such a coward but he's pretty upfront about it. The romance between him and Percy was so cute, the kind where you want to smack them both and tell them to admit how they feel!

And I LOVED Felicity, I'm so glad she's getting her own book.

katarina_g | -6 comments I had really high expectations for this book, and it left me a bit disappointed. I was expecting funnier scenes, more travelling, more moments between Monty and Percy... It definitely wasn't bad and I quite enjoyed reading it but I didn't have such a good time as I was expecting.

I actually thought this book was pretty good. I read it a while ago, so I don’t remember too much, but I do think my favorite character was Percy. I’m sooooo ready for the second book! I’m glad Felicity gets her own book:)

Lulu ♠ (lulusroses) | 2 comments I enjoyed this book definitely a favourite. I loved Felicity, Monty for me personally can be real because I do have someone in my life who is exactly like him in personality and how he ends up in situations; but the book was amazingly funny, and cute especially Monty and Percy the romantic development between them is awesome because it can be real so that was nice.
In general, Loved it.

Maartje De Groot | 69 comments I’m halfway in and love it. Percy and Monty are so cute and I love Felicity.

Nicole ☕️ (prettyoddpages) | 2 comments I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would! I loved the character interactions and the banter. I think I had a smile on my face throughout most of the book. I listened to the audiobook and thought Christian Coulson did such a fantastic job, I loved it.

Sarah Molder | 8 comments I just read it this year and I thought it was ok. It had it's moments. It was fun at times but not laugh out funny. I loved Felicity the most and Monty sometimes. I will definitely be getting the second book.

wait what really? that's so cool! it's such a good book and i can't wait for the second one to come out

stardustreader | 15 comments SO many booktubers were pushing these books down my throat and I was super excited to read it. Then it turned out to be full of TOO MANY twists and turns, had a lack of plot, and an annoying MC. Flawed doesn't have to mean a bugaboo which was exactly what the MC was. I dnf'd it bc i didn't enjoy it. Oh well, maybe i'll pick it up soon!

message 21: by Teri (new) - rated it 5 stars

Teri | 12 comments Just got this a couple of weeks ago when it was on sale - friends in my book club loved it. Need to read it before the TV series!

Katie (katieisalovebug) I have a few people on here reading the arc for the second book and it is killing me. I loved Felicity so much and can’t wait to read it.

I listened to this audiobook on a rough week at work and I loved it. The narrator did such a good job.

Bookworm Girl (bookwormgirl11) | 2 comments Awesome book! I love Monty and Percy. Can't wait for the second one.

Felix A bit too silly for me, but it is much deeper than it looks. I understand why so many people love it.

Felix I loved the sequel too. And don't get me wrong: I liked this book. It's just slightly sillier than I'm used to. The themes and character development were amazing in both books.

Sasha (sashasreading) | 64 comments I'm gonna start this one soon, can't wait!!
