Frank takes his son Brian in for surgery on his foot. What changes in their relationship are you already seeing?

Phrynne | 607 comments Frank is discovering fatherly emotions for the first time. It is beautiful to see.

It’s like his son was just born. I’m loving his daily discoveries of Brian and it’s wonderfully written. I especially liked how he described Brian’s first ride on the train. The image was vivid for me.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I love the bonding that is going on between Frank and Brian. They both deserve to be happy. Now if only Frank and Sarah could realize what they are coming to mean to one another.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 180 comments I'm so excited to see this relationship bloom. It isn't as if Sarah magically made Frank commit to his son but it was if she opened that door to healing and helped him close the door that had him blaming Brian for his wife's death.

I thought I had highlighted the passage where Sarah comments on Brian's joy and trust of Frank but I guess I didn't. Have I mentioned how much I love the highlight and share feature for my kindle to goodreads? Anyway, I digress. I loved that passage where she pointed out how Frank took Brian out of his comfort zone to a world Brian knew nothing about yet Brian was just full of wonder and joy on the long trip because he trusted Frank completely.

Wonderfully put, Christina. I agree wholeheartedly.

I loved all the Frank and Brian scenes. My heart swells.
