Based on polls so far, we have a strong preference towards TOS and TNG series, with most folks reading a minimum of 1 book every 2 weeks. With that in mind, we'll start posting books of the month, 1 from each of those series. Once we're through those, we'll broaden our reach towards DS9, VOY, DISCO and all the other series out there.

Where should we start? We're each on our own journey through the many differing franchises and story lines. No matter what we choose, we'll run into folks that will be re-reading a book, or jumping ahead from where they are currently reading.

Please use this thread to nominate a book for our group read! Otherwise, I'll just plan on starting from the beginning of each series, or from where I can see most of the group members are - although that is hard to do.

You may also see some skipping around, as well as selecting a new release for the book of the month depending on what is going on. I'm looking forward to discussing these reads with all of you, and if you have any suggestions please list them out here!

Jen | 11 comments Since it will be a while before we get to see any more Discovery, I nominate Dayton Ward's Drastic Measures.

If we're going to work through these two ST series' first, why not go through in number order? Maybe diverging to skip ahead when we reach the start of a story-series (eg. 'The Lost Years saga'.)

Lee | 7 comments Glad to see "My enemy, my ally" is up for April. It's long been one of my favorites, I will pull it down again soon.

Lee | 7 comments Finished "My enemy, my ally", thanks to a poorly-timed bout of flu. Duane's secondary characters, understanding of the Rihannsu, dialogue, and descriptions of starship battles do not disappoint. I am reminded again why this series remains at the top of my favorite TOS books.

I'll have to re read it. I just have other books on my to read list before I could read this one.

I finished Drastic Measures. Wow, that kind of blew me away. I really liked that one!

I gotta pick it back up. For some reason it's not gripping me like Desperate Hours did. Saru is my favorite Disco character though, so I'm really looking forward to Fear Itself.
